a rebuild
>not a 3k Civic
You should probably buy some anal lube you fucking retard.
Enjoy your slow dumb looking meme car so you can tell people who dont give a shit how cool it is that you have a rotary engine.
A new engine soon
15mpg for Honda Civic speed
Adding a quart of oil with every tank of gas
find a Renesis II and swap it in.
B R A P
A rebuild every 100k, an empty wallet due to oil consumption and the ABSOLUTE NEED for 93 minimum gas, and a SHIT TON OF FUN.
An LS swap.
Go buy premix
A wonderfully fun car that demands a great deal of attention. Think of a clingy girlfriend and you've about got it.
Plan on dropping a new engine in within immediately to 50k miles, and start premixing 1/2 oz 2 stroke oil for each gallon of gas. Keep the oil level up, and change it quite frequently with full conventional until you buy the sohn adapter kit. You just don't drive an RX-8 without planning to buy that kit, use the googler if you want to know more. Once you have it, run a high quality synthetic and don't fall for the "lasts more than 3-5k miles" meme.
Give it a good hooning run every weekend to keep the carbon away, and don't cruise at low rpm. 3k and above is where this engine is meant to stay at all times while moving. If you're concerned about fuel economy, you're screwed. I can get 20 at absolute best, admittedly with my case of lead foot. Always, always, always run premium unless you intend to buy a new engine every time you get gas.
This is not a car for the cheapo or faint of heart. However, if you are man enough to take care of it, it will take care of you. It will put a smile on your face every time you get to redline. It will go around any corner you ask it to at whatever speed you wish. It will ride nicely yet still tell you about every little critical change in the road surface, and the steering will give you precise feedback about where the grip is most limited. The shifter feel is great, it sticks to the road, and even fully stock it has a most glorious exhaust note. You can drift, you can race, you can run the engine as hard as you want and it will only make it last longer. It loves high rpm, so don't be afraid to have some fun.
As a whole, you're in for the most character filled, lovable car you will ever own.
Think of a clingy girlfriend who you cant have sex with and will always score lower than your friends gfs except the loser friends who you dont give a fuck about.
Its like dating a korean girl over the age of 30.
>Competing with other people instead of choosing that which makes you most happy.
Just as with girls, it's about picking a car that puts a smile on your face. Unlike girls however, cars can easily be made faster/better looking if you insist on being competitive.

>buying a 2004
oh boy
an absolute need for 91* although 93 is really nice
Automatic or manual?
woah
many braps
Hope it's manual. Also follow this infograph religiously
04': buy a new starter
braps
automatic for now, ideally will make it manual down the line
>automatic
>2004
>100k miles
could you have possibly fucked up any more?
will it really end up that bad if taken care of from here on?
This is bait
It's also reported stolen, could this be a problem later?
You're either baiting or stupid. You obviously don't know what's involved converting it and it's not a beginner level project.
You're carfu is shit.
The rotary is a meme. Nissan VQ37HR piston engines run to the same redline.
Fucking retards buy rotaries for street or daily purposes. Only place they belong is the track in high performance applications.
no this is literally the worst rotary you could possibly buy even an fc sitting in a field has a better rotary than this
Nice trips but RX-8 is best cute clingy carfu.
>You're
lol dun goofd
or troll
The VQ37HR redlines at like 7.6k rpm, whereas the 13B-MSP redlines at 9.6k. Maybe the VQ37HR revs as high as some very early rotaries, like the 12A, but compared to a modern rotary, no fucking way.
Swap in an LS, hood the fuck out of it, and then sell it on craigslist for triple what you paid cuz LS swapped RX-8's go for pretty good money,
Wait you cunts have 93 as premium? Over here 95 is normal and 98 is premium Mr moneybags fuel
What sort of autism inspires someone to make that image?
Different ratings system. US uses (MON + RON)/2, some places just use RON.
>phoenix.craigslist.org
I'd really not recommend anyone buy a pre-2008 model at all unless it's a second project car and you're only buying the shell to do something with.
>rotary flush
The fuck does that mean? That it's flooded?
Yeah well you'll have to fix a bunch of shit so it doesn't flood again. Why didn't it get its recall work done?
Basically like I said. Don't buy a pre-2008 unless you know you're buying what is essentially a roller.
...
>automatic rotary
Why Mazda didn't make the OMP draw from a 2 stroke oil reservoir from the factory is beyond me honestly.
Came here to say this
At least get a 2006 dang it
>convet to manuel
>automatic 100k rotor
This is bait lol
BUT why didnt you get a manual in the first place
>automatic
Thank you sorry for the late response from my orchards and we can have the n the morning first day as bitch she was busy going to drs 5.30am not 5th and accountant and name of account holder I'll have to come at all
Shit I've been offered an Alpina B4 from my father instead of an RX8 and I still chose the RX8 but even I wouldn't buy an auto one
Enjoy your 7.5k rpm redline, 60 less horsepower and carbon deposits from the slushbox not redlining
It burns oil by design tho
Way to ruin a chassis
>VQ37HR
Downfall is it comes wrapped in a 370Z.
is that slowjak meant for you? Jesus fuck, picking a hairdresser's mememobile over an alpina.
With a turbo and a 4.77 final drive mod it's almost as fast as the Alpina and it doesn't handle like a fucking fishboat
Forgot to mention the Alpina was a slushbox
didn't the automatic version top out at 7.5k rpm? because the auto box couldn't handle the full 9k or something?
>some places just use RON.
almost everywhere else in the world
What did you pay
A headache and a lot of maintenance for one of Mazda's shitter engines.
You know the autos have a different, less powerful engine that is much more work to convert than it is to just swap a manual's engine in, right?
Oh dear God you fucked up. That engine requires a manual to keep carbon build up from happening.
>muh APEX SEALS
japan
ain't got to explain shit nigger
>v12 reliability
>v8 fuel economy
>v6 horsepower
>i4 torque
But muh brap brap
Because they barely stayed within emissions requirements as it was
There's no way that burning conventional engine oil is better for emissions than burning 2 stroke. I'll bet money it came down to not wanting to have another reservoir to fill. Same reason why Mazda didn't want water injection to improve fuel economy and thermal management.
Better than having it sit in your driveway with a blown engine.
thanks user
>Auto rotary with 100k miles
All I'm wondering is, why? Were they giving it away for pennies or something?
>ideally will make it manual down the line
you won't have a fucking engine down the line
