my auto is p r n d 3 2 1
did they break it?

this. i remember watching that episode and to this day haven't seen a car with p r n d l

>d 3 2 1
>he doesn't have (D) for overdrive and a separate overdrive-off switch

>mfw you are a 2000 Mazda MPV

>mfw no manual
>mfw "MANUAL" mode on autotragic

>tfw my automatic has a shitty joystick rather than a normal shift lever
That's what I get for driving a cuckmobile (prius)

Guys mine says 12345
Help
What is this? My mom's 2005 SL500 Merc has some shit that stimulates manual transmission, same thing? I've never tried it out

my car has r n 1 2 3 4 5 6

My Corvette has PRN(D)D21. I hate the separated overdrive off button many cars have, so I'm thankful my car does everything in one linear movement.

>PRNDM

>tfw you'll never be the target audience for shows like this ever again

My old delivery job had me driving a Nissan Versa Note, and it only had PRNDL. The car is literally one step above base model, as the only difference is the fact it's an auto and not a manual.

I thought all Versas had CVTs now.

Can somebody explain to me what exactly the 3, 2, and L gears do on an automatic car?

>yfw

you will never have a cutie dumb London Tipton GF
to teach her how to drive her automatic

...

Prevents the transmission from going into a higher gear. Say you have a four-speed automatic, with D, 2, and L on the shifter, it would go like this:
>D: use all four forward gears, and overdrive can be disabled with a separate button or switch which will limit the car to only the first three gears
>2: only use first and second gears, hitting the shift point in 1 will still shift to 2, but no further
>L: only use first gear

Every late model nissan I've driven has been.
I rent a lot of cars.

the prindle

youtu.be/OFDy9pGTtjE

>my mother saw this episode when it aired
>fast forward to learning to drive
>honey, look at the Prindle
>oh fuck it’s one of those kind of learning experiences

wait normies actually thought this wasnt a joke?

Do americans actually call park reverse nut drive and low prindle?

They do now, because of Suite Life

Yes

...

Jokingly, yes. Yes they do.
And it’s actually pretty damn funny.

Did your mother conceive you at 16?

What.
The Suite life was on almost a decade ago man.
I had younger brothers who watched it, so around the time I was learning to drive it was playing on the TV.

Never heard anyone say prndl. Only "shifter" in the midwest, regardless of transmission.

i say shifter here but i mainly refer to a manual gearstick

t. aussie

CVT, automatic, DCT, who fucking cares. I don't have to press a clutch and move the shifter itself, the car does it on it's own.

Old joke. My high school shop teacher called it a prindle once. Back in 1972.

2nd gen GS300, it has buttons on the steering wheel on both sides and back, front is downshift, back is shift up

Will it still stall or is there a safety net in place?

...

you can keep it in 5th and it will down-shift to 1st for you. never stalling

we have one. its pretty dope. downshifting manually makes it revmatch, but you cant manually downshift into 1st
