I've never wanted a car for a bunch of reasons. No parking lots, expensive garages, great public transport, and easy to travel by bike where I live.
I only need a car for traveling far or moving stuff. Therefore, I decided to buy a van.
What's important for me: Cheap (really cheap) Low consumption (for a van) Diesel since I'll use it only for bigger distances Available in Europe
Basically, what I need is a car with a bedroom in it. Does any of you have any recommendations or experience?
Austin Hughes
>a car with a bedroom You want a vehicle that you can sleep in? What are you transporting? Heavy equipment or lightweight equipment? How large?
Jaxon Barnes
Buy a golf GTI instead it ticks all those boxes and the boot space is only slightly less than a vans
Bentley Wright
Basically a vehicle I can fuck and sleep in. Transporting mainly lightweight stuff. Large enough to make it comfortable to sleep and sit in (something like a Transporter or Multivan T4)
Jack Allen
Are you talking about this?

I had Dacia Dokker and slept in it in February.
Mattress, sleeping bag, 2 layers of clothing and a hat and I was okay.

You're going to be beholden to the selection in your area. Can you show us some of the vans available in your area and maybe we can help you to select from them?
Brody Cruz
Okay, thanks. It's gonna take a while, but I'll make a simple list.
Joseph Watson
Ford Transit Renault Traffic Peugeot Boxer Citroen Jumper Volkswagen Transporter T4 (shitload of these in my area) Peugeot Expert Fiat Ducato (probably too big) Mercedes Vito (probably too expensive)
Robert Myers
Also it would be nice if it wasn't longer than 5 meters.

Get a 700 or 900 series volvo. They might be thirsty fuckers, but they have tons of room for sleeping and they're usually better insulated than most other cars, except for full-blown luxury boxes. They also come with the i6 vw diesel used in the lt vans.
Austin Davis
Are you buying new or used?
Julian Flores
Definitely used.

if this thread doesn't produce what you want in a couple hours, I would delete it and post a thread including the info you gave in these posts: So that people know exactly what you want them to help you with. The original post is just a bit vague and needs clarification

Take my opinions with a grain of salt because I only know about manufacturers, not vans. Do not buy a French car, Renault can be okay but the rest are trash. Ford is usually a reliable car, so is Fiat. Don't buy anything too expensive if something cheaper will work fine. Basically my advice is narrow it down to the Transit, the T4, and the Ducato, maybe the Traffic if you really like it.

get a semi-roomy pickup truck with a bench seat. I've slept comfortably in mine in walmart parking lots whenever my stepmom is being a bitch

There's one more car that comes to my mind...
Easton Evans
