Are convertibles the worst types of cars?

>Makes you look like an effeminate cringy beta cuck with the roof down

>roof mechanism starts to rattle after 10k miles
>gains lots of weight
>handles worse
>costs more

I'd like them more if they weren't always driven by dumb women or guys with glaring bald spots
>tfw bald spot
>can't drive a convertible
>only thing worse is a sun roof

memes aside I just can't get over losing half the torsional rigidity of my car just so I can enjoy more wind once every month in the summer.

yes I've always hated them

If it were up to me I'd have multiple cars so I could pick between going out to enjoy an open-air scoot on a nice day or hooning my rally beast depending on mood.

Convertible when?

Nope, Crossovers are

T-top when?

...

>>Loses half the structural rigidity of the car
jokes on you, convertibles are actually more rigid

I would unironically buy and drive a seafoam green murano convertible.

>shilling not even once

i'm not OP, but without all of the extra under-bracing manufacturers are forced to add, the vehicle would be significantly less rigid than a normal roofed version.

Also, you ever driven a "oh, can we make this into a convertible?" type vert before? Entire fucking car flexes over bumps.

What makes you think Lexus would bother shilling here? Most of the posters here can't even drive let alone buy a new car.

It's true I'm a neet but I'll have my rich uncle buy the LC

Who at Nissan okayed this design?

>without manufacturers trying to overcome inherent flaws, it would be subject to its flaws
no fucking shit

Convertibles that weren't designed as bespoke roadsters belong in the trash.

Thank you OP.
Imagine a world with no cuckvertibles
fucking amazing

did you even read the post i was replying to?

convertibles are actually fun but I am not secure enough to drive one. convertibles used to be considered manly I wish they still were.

The car models they used to make into convertibles used to be manly. Now no one will market things as manly because they don't want to offend the soy boys.

This convertible produces more testerone than an entire private high school.

2spooky.

>Makes you look like an effeminate cringy beta cuck with the roof down
wrong, betas don't drive porsches
>Loses half the structural rigidity of the car
also wrong
>roof mechanism starts to rattle after 10k miles
entirely false
>gains lots of weight
2910 lbs curb isnt bad at all
>handles worse
than a 911 or cayman? sure. than most other cars? not at all
>costs more
bosters are 5k cheaper than a cayman of the same year on average, so false
>looks uglier
debateable
>is noisier
op is a faggot if he doesn't like noise
>attracts too much attention to your ugly face
key here is "your"
>Is easier for thieves to steal
if you're a fucking moron and leave valuables in your car, sure

i see zero issues with this OP

>not having a convertible to enjoy the summer in.

>he can't enjoy his convertible year-round

This would be true but they add strength to account for this but it results in a heavier and thus slower version of its coupe counterpart.

To be honest most coupes derived from sedans are heavier and have less torsional rigidity than the sedan counterparts too. E46 and G35 are both examples of just that. Yet people still think they are "sportier".

>bosters are 5k cheaper than a cayman of the same year on average, so false
Because the Cayman was the more desirable car with its slightly bigger engine.
The 718 Cayman is actually cheaper than the 718 Boxster brand new.
