UK richfag here, just been given a 12 month driving disqualification for drink driving the next day, 12 hours after my last drink (was 35 mg per 100 ml for breath, the legal limit in Scotland is 22, in England, Wales and NI it's 35.....)
Anyway, is there any fully self driving cars that I can buy? Do you need a licence for them?

"Autonomous" cars right now still require a driver who's paying attention as a fallback measure, and this will probably remain the case for quite some time. Basically you'd still need a license if you were in the drivers seat.

Accidentally went into a parked car at like 5mph, the owner insisted i got breathalyzed. I knew I was barely over the limit if at all so I just played along and cooperated.
Didn't expect the Socialist Republic of Scotland to give a 12 month driving ban for this, but apparently that's the minimum, even though if I was driving 30 miles south of here I was within the limit..
I've been told I can get it reduced considerably if I take a (have to pay for it myself) some drink driving awareness course.
I've literally never driven and drove (at the time), but w/e.

12 hours after your last drink and being over the limit means you probably got the bottle reasonably hard.
You were 50% over the limit, what do you expect? It may me 35 in England and 80 in the US of Alcoholics but you need to abide by the laws of the country you are in.

No plates, light killswitch, couple sets of fairings, different sets of gear. Not hard, my daily rider for 8 months was a bike with all of those, and I ran a couple times a month. Just pull over, wait for him to get out of the car and take off, not that hard.

I've driven a car for 7 years and ridden a motorcycle for 6 with 0 previous convictions, never actually been stopped by the police actually.
I'd be up for it but I've had a look and if I got caught driving while disqualified I'll likely have jail time.

Police automatically run plates here, I'd imagine if there was a vehicle (car or bike) owned by a disqualified driver they would automatically stop the vehicle no?

Ok I’m mostly shitposting, but if you were to actually do it, you’d need a good amount of experience riding before you do anything stupid. I’ve been riding 4 years and I took all the tickets up until last year, I bought a stolen bike and never looked back. Just have a couple sets of gear and different fairings, a light killswitch is good for night time, also if you wreck they’re taking you straight to jail after the hospital unless you’re dead. It’s a huge adrenaline rush like you’ve never felt but it’s also incredibly dangerous and stupid, in the states it’s an automatic felony if you run on a vehicle, bike is stolen that’s another charge, when they inevitably get a warrant for your house and find all the gear and realize how many times they’ve chased you, your life is over.

In addition to that post, I live in a rural area with almost no cameras, I assume all of UK is covered in cctv. Even if you get away, they could follow you with cctv, unless it’s rural.

It's a 12 month driving ban, if Tesla/Nissan/LR fuck even google or something have a purchasable vehicle coming out in the near future I'd be interested to know about it.

Although the DVLA have disqualified my licence for 12 months (maybe less if I do this drink driving course thing), does that include other countries? Could I move somewhere like Aus and drive there?

You can drive in any other country but you will need a licence in that country. You could get cheeky, fly to aus, do the test and fly home then drive for 6 months on the aus licence in the uk.
