UK richfag here, just been given a 12 month driving disqualification for drink driving the next day, 12 hours after my last drink (was 35 mg per 100 ml for breath, the legal limit in Scotland is 22, in England, Wales and NI it's 35.....)
Anyway, is there any fully self driving cars that I can buy? Do you need a licence for them?
Brody Moore
self driving cars are still a work in progress why did you get breathalyzed? you must have done something
Ian Cruz
"Autonomous" cars right now still require a driver who's paying attention as a fallback measure, and this will probably remain the case for quite some time. Basically you'd still need a license if you were in the drivers seat.
Eli Allen
There isn't Just hire someone to drive you around in your Mulsanne or Phantom
Brayden Ortiz
Accidentally went into a parked car at like 5mph, the owner insisted i got breathalyzed. I knew I was barely over the limit if at all so I just played along and cooperated.
Didn't expect the Socialist Republic of Scotland to give a 12 month driving ban for this, but apparently that's the minimum, even though if I was driving 30 miles south of here I was within the limit..
Robert Reed
I've been told I can get it reduced considerably if I take a (have to pay for it myself) some drink driving awareness course.
I've literally never driven and drove (at the time), but w/e.
Are chauffeurs cheap?
Hunter Clark
>the owner insisted I got breathalyzed wow what a cunt
Jack Smith
No, Yes.
Caleb Robinson
They could probably smell it on your breath.
12 hours after your last drink and being over the limit means you probably got the bottle reasonably hard.
Adam Flores
You were 50% over the limit, what do you expect? It may me 35 in England and 80 in the US of Alcoholics but you need to abide by the laws of the country you are in.
Michael Williams
Nope, maybe get a moped, I am not sure of your moped laws but I see Uber in your future.
Carter Miller
He can't get a moped he's disqualified.
Blake Stewart
Buy a motorcycle and don’t stop for police retard.
Jacob Campbell
If only there was a way to trace a vehicle using a unique ID.
Alexander Davis
Take the plates off????
Jonathan Nelson
if you're a real rich fag just employ a chauffeur for the duration of your ban.
Jaxon Hernandez
No plates, light killswitch, couple sets of fairings, different sets of gear. Not hard, my daily rider for 8 months was a bike with all of those, and I ran a couple times a month. Just pull over, wait for him to get out of the car and take off, not that hard.
Nicholas Miller
If you buy the plane ticket and provide room and board, I'll drive you around OP.
Owen Cooper
>Scotland Have you done the NC500 OP?
Julian Ramirez
I've already got plans to do it this August, I guess it'll have to be put on hold.
I've driven a car for 7 years and ridden a motorcycle for 6 with 0 previous convictions, never actually been stopped by the police actually.
Austin Long
I'd be up for it but I've had a look and if I got caught driving while disqualified I'll likely have jail time.
Fuck that desu
Samuel Barnes
Then don’t get caught?? Duh
Jaxon Morales
Police automatically run plates here, I'd imagine if there was a vehicle (car or bike) owned by a disqualified driver they would automatically stop the vehicle no?
Do I just run everytime?
Josiah Kelly
What car were you going to take? I'm a filthy southerner now but maybe I'll make the trip one day
Juan Kelly
My honda VTR 1000
Kevin Stewart
this is BS/bait. everyone knows theres no self driving cars yet. what i dont get is what the op gets from posting this BS??
Brandon Flores
You go without plates, and yes lol you don’t stop unless you want to get fucked. Ok I’m mostly shitposting, but if you were to actually do it, you’d need a good amount of experience riding before you do anything stupid. I’ve been riding 4 years and I took all the tickets up until last year, I bought a stolen bike and never looked back. Just have a couple sets of gear and different fairings, a light killswitch is good for night time, also if you wreck they’re taking you straight to jail after the hospital unless you’re dead. It’s a huge adrenaline rush like you’ve never felt but it’s also incredibly dangerous and stupid, in the states it’s an automatic felony if you run on a vehicle, bike is stolen that’s another charge, when they inevitably get a warrant for your house and find all the gear and realize how many times they’ve chased you, your life is over.
Jaxon Cooper
Tesla is at the forefront of self-driving tech, with many others following close behind. Porsche has even promised full level 5 autonomy for the production version of the Mission E.
Grayson Morgan
In addition to that post, I live in a rural area with almost no cameras, I assume all of UK is covered in cctv. Even if you get away, they could follow you with cctv, unless it’s rural.
Jaxson Thomas
see the word yet in my post? as i said everyone knows there are none at the moment, think it would be all over the media if there was (apart from that crappy shuttle bug in vegas that crashed on its 1st day). i repeat op is larping.
Cooper Mitchell
>all of UK is covered in cctv yup, especially up here
That's why I'm asking. >there are no fully road legal purchasable self driving cars right this second but there are several different concepts and prototypes being created by some of the biggest companies in the world so why make a thread about it You're a special kind of autist aren't you?
David Foster
"is there any road leagl self driving car i can buy".
thats what hes asking. no one gives 2 shiny shots about the future, there will be facking hover cars in the future u spunkbubble, ,maybe op should buy one of them too... everyone knows there arnt any now u pleb, as does op. its a larp get over it. are u so far on the spectrum you cant see that, u retarded mouth breather.
Angel Nguyen
He's probably a child. Go easy on him.
Blake Jenkins
It's a 12 month driving ban, if Tesla/Nissan/LR fuck even google or something have a purchasable vehicle coming out in the near future I'd be interested to know about it.
I don't really have a budget, sitting on around 300 btc atm.
Although the DVLA have disqualified my licence for 12 months (maybe less if I do this drink driving course thing), does that include other countries? Could I move somewhere like Aus and drive there?
Landon Thomas
oh man the larping gets worse. dont you think if something by these guys was going to be brought to market anytime soon (as in the next 2 years) it wouldnt be all over the media...
please stop ruining Veeky Forums can i drive in other countries... try to be less transparent.
Caleb Rivera
If you want a temporary driver OP, say the word. I can be at your disposal
Thomas Jackson
You can drive in any other country but you will need a licence in that country. You could get cheeky, fly to aus, do the test and fly home then drive for 6 months on the aus licence in the uk.
Adam Jackson
are every biker huge cunts or is it just you?
Ayden Scott
Why move to AUS? How about the land of cheap V8s, motorheads, and thumbs up from cops after burnouts rather than getting your car crushed.
Hudson Phillips
Are you still drunk?
Mason Rodriguez
Best post in the thread, thanks
t. OP
Brandon Rivera
> never driven and drove
How the hell did you get around then?
Cooper James
There's been a self driving car ever since they were invented. It's called the chauffeur.
Kayden Lewis
You mean to ask, why do most outlandishly made up stories usually involve running from the police.
