The jensen interceptor

Monteverdis m8, on every fooken corner

i suspect they're all in mexico now

same with windstars and town&countries

I'll see you and raise you.

Windstars were wiped out by Cash for Clunkers, it was one of the most traded-in models.

Literally the holocaust for Veeky Forumstards

>[national average debt increases]

I was thinking about this the other day. WTF happened to the Dodge Intrepid? I haven't seen a single one in forever.

I always thought 80's escorts were cool but the only ones around, in my country, are the sinfully ugly ones from the 90s.

Even 90s Escorts are getting hard to find in the US, they all got driven to pieces.
A lot of US cars from the 80s-90s have vanished because they had 100k lifespans and terrible rust issues.

There's actually a garage kept 93 Taurus for $1500 on my local Craigslist, kinda tempted to buy it.

The ones that are left are in Alaska, along with all the Neons, Tempos and other crappy 90s cars.
Every spring the seasonal kids buy the cheapest cars they can find and drive them to Alaska for their summer jobs. Then they get sold and resold every summer until they fall apart and get dumped in a field.

my dad had one of these. someone else had an identical one in a parking and my dad accidentally got into it. key worked to unlock it and start it up some how.

There's still a few in CA but they have def. became a 'collectable'

This and the Chevy Baretta/ Cavalier/ Lumina. They were everywhere.

I still see Luminas around (Christ, I drove one until last spring) and Cavaliers are pretty regular $1k Craigslist specials, but I haven't seen a Corsica or Berretta in ages.

>For sale 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix. Has the usual rust. Title in hand. No scammers!

pt cruisers

everyone traded in, people picked them up high milage used, timing belt destroys the interference engine

My sister still drives one, the back suspension is so fucked the wheels won't hold camber and she keeps balding her tires.

Focus ZX3. Used to see things everywhere and then they were just gone. Impressive considering they're not even that old.

Self bump, but these SUVs used to be literally everywhere. I live in NYC and there used to be like 2 or 3 on each block. Now, even though I still see them around, they aren't as common as they used to be.

All are broken or rusted. All that gen Focuses have been gone for years in Europe too.

She's been getting smashed in the backseats by Tyrone pretty hard, huh?

This (mid 90s), along with first gen Expeditions were everywhere you turn.

I saw more Thunderbirds on the road than I did see Tauruses. For some strange reason they're still cruising around.

I'm suddenly reminded of those poor mid 90s Corvettes now. Wasn't much, but it was quite a few that got destroyed.

Picrelated.
Thanks to BMW engine that don't last even 60 000 miles (or 100 000 kms in normal units)

my irresponsible parents let me buy robocop on vhs in '88, i thought the taurus was so tubular.

these were literally fucking everywhere at one point.

Yep. And Sunbirds/6000s.

Bullshit, I see them all over the place.

I bought one as a holdover vehicle for a while and it made me want a Fiesta ST.

They're still literally everywhere.

Pretty sure she's a lesbian, actually.

I still have my 01 blazer as a winter beater. 114k ls trim 2dr runs like a rape date cost me ~$200 a year to maintain.

The rare 2.7l that made the trek to 200k plus died years ago.

These used to almost outnumber Civics. Decent cars.

I saw one of these today in this exact color and it actually got my attention since it's been so long since I've seen one. Bonus it was in good condition.

Neons were decimated by street racers. Easy to mod and cheap enough that if you wrecked it you could just buy another.

Not anywhere with rust. There's almost none of the boxy S10's left and very few of that generation left. They tend to rust and fall apart when they hit 300k km's or 200k miles unless they're maintained properly. It's pretty sad. I had two S10 blazers and they were the perfect sized SUV with a proper drivetrain.

Remember these guys? A suv coupe?! The 90s were pretty weird at times.

I see these fucking things everywhere oddly enough.

Also these too.

They are non existent where I live. I guess used dealers sold them to dealers in other areas maybe?

rented one of these back in the days, floored it on an empty highway and couldnt get pass 90mph. it was a comfortable cruiser however.

Where I am there are a shit-ton of 90s Grand-Ams and Grand Prix still around. All of them silver.

A-bodies

You have no idea what everywhere means

>A-bodies

Which surprises me because they built them the same for almost 15 years and figured out how to screw them together near the end. most of the engine/trans combos were reasonably reliable.

Where did these cars go?

A-bodies were quite prone to rust. Those Iron Duke engines were unstoppable.

One in my neighborhood with a bumper sticker that reads; I love scrap.

Fuck where did they go, forgot about these

GM discontinued the A-body line in favor of more efficient and safe designs.

The scrap heap.

Used to have one. Fucking indestructible.

>grandpa dies
>grandkids don't want to drive a grandpa car
>give car to some foundation for $50
>car goes to the scrap yard in mint condition

>80s A body
>Mint condition
The rockers rusted off if you spilled water within 10 feet of the car.

Right in the feels. I grew up with this car, it was an 87 Brougham edition. I just checked Craigslist and see more G bodies than these.

>How come I don't see 30 year old cars driving around every day anymore?

Old people still wash their car like 5 times a week and don't take it out in the rain or snow. I live somewhere where the Mazda 3 rust meme is real yet the old dudes with them don't have a single spec of rust. Old people can keep the shittiest of cars going.

It’s a non-interference engine, fucktard.
The engine is one of the beefiest parts of the car, with the exception of some 2005-2006 N/A models with poor head gasket tolerances. What kills PTs is the auto transmissions are shit, and they go through front end components faster than they should. A lot of (poor) people don’t realize they have a turbocharged one and end up killing the turbo through negligence.

Her rear axle is bent and/or the rear bushings are gone. Not uncommon at all, especially on the pre-facelift PTs.

t. Owns 3 PT cruisers

See these all the time in socal

...

Ahem...

i still have one

nice
im still rocking the dynasty

luckily not the case in europe. However they are still dirt cheap here. The best option for getting a cheap automatic probably.

literally every car in that picture is everywhere.

used to be everywhere; neighbors had one growing up. now I see dumb college thots whose parents aren't loaded driving them.

I miss mine. One day, maybe in the next year, it will be turned into my dedicated /org/. It has sentimental value.

>tubular
did people really say this back in the day?

what happened to it?

Well this was like THE only car in Poland

Ninja Turtles did.

It was a west coast early 80's thing.
but took to the late 80's to get to me in the midwest 'burbs.

>be nissan
>make sports car
>give it the styling of a fwd shitbox
>no one buys it
>no one maintained them
>often handed down to kids as their first cars who treated them just like fwd shitboxes
>given away for next to nothing
>when a 240 met its demise against a concrete wall, another one simply substituted it
>a bunch of them were sacrificed for the 2000s herbie demolition derby scene squarely because of its "indistinct background car" styling
>to say nothing of other racing movies

You'll find more of these on tracks than you will on the streets. You'll find more Yugos than you will find 240SXes. You have a better chance of finding a manual V6 camry coupe than a 240sx. The 240SX is the poster child of "extinct car".

trans problems

>Skoda driver with a soy boy haircut
Don't change Europe.

...

That's a Peugeot you dumbass

r o a d m a s t e r

someone doesnt live in the pacific northwest.

240s are still fucking everywhere.

...

Luminas, corsicas and berettas were even. common in europe

Its not that they are completely gone, its that there are so many new cars around they get pushed to the background.

In bongland these used to be everywhere.
Cheap old shitboxes with lots of bad bodywork modifications, usually a huge comically large rear wing, weird aftermarket lights, a loud exhaust with a huge tip (like 8+ inches) and multiple 4+ pipes on 4 cylinder shitboxes.
Used to be common as fuck to see 17 to 19 year olds in abominations like this but it seems to have died out. Never see a properly chavved up car anymore like you used to

My mom and I found one in the woods when we went hiking
It was on jacks and had been picked apart
It was kinda weird seeing it
We had one just like it when I was a child and hadn't seen one since then
You can see them on the road every now and then but they are nearing extinction

Lol just sell it u dip or give it away to someone decent

Every single fucking taxi was one of these in the early 2000s. Now you never even see W210s around anymore, taxi or not.

Come to Peru. I shit you not it's a 1 in 5 ratio.

They all rusted away. The W210 was famous for being the Mercedes rustbucket.
You can still spot some of them these days, driven by gypsies mostly. All of them are rusted to death.

I'm glad that the 2008 crisis wiped out these monstrosities. They were literally everywhere. The Q7, the Touareg, the Cayenne, the Range Rover Sport, the X5 and the X6.

They got replaced with these fuckers for a while because of a stupid fucking tax loophole though.
At least now they've all been traded in for C-HR hybrids or something, although I honestly don't know which makes me madder.

in the UK it has to be the Escort

Not in New England, I see more Supras and now even GTRs than 240s.
Prices are retarded too, even the autos are now reaching 4-5k.

Shit, I can't even remember the last one I saw. Here's another.

I'm in Mass and I've seen a few 240s around here, but never a Supra besides one at a show.

Drug addict kadetts are quite rare these days.
