Nice guy but man he sure fucked my Z. I feel like I got sloppy 7ths. I'm buying my 3rd engine on the 26th and doing a real rebuild from ground up rather than a refresh. I want to accumulate as many L series straight 6's as I can and sell them to Z owners in top shape for a fairer price than the ludicrous amount other people want for them like 2500 for a damn L24 rebuild lmao.

also, protip for Z's DO NOT buy it if its had or has Camber/caster plates installed. Those towers do not hold up well at all in recent years even without drilling. If you do, prepare to do some patching and reinforcing.

The fact that the trans however was mounted via a big 1/2 inch metal bracket INTO THE FLOOR PAN across both seats over the trans tunnel, made me give up all hope

I was utterly dissappointed and broken when i found out this wasnt the new 390z and was essentially a miata in the skin of a Datsun..

Good plan. Not sure the RB will fit, its a bit long for the engine bay. SR is a good choice if you're chasing power, should give better weight distribution than any iron-block 6 as well.
