how do you all find motivation to create sets and weapons for a new weapon? I think that creating a new character however that doesn't last long.

Make it so the shit set has the gems & charm to be that set

diorex
>tigrex with literally it's entire moveset replaced
>armor gimmick that makes it harder than an apex monster until the armor is removed
>can attack without turning to face a player, utilizing sliding and turning attacks, making headsniping much more difficult

>controls nature and attacks you with it
>can use his own hazards against him to temporarily ground him dragon's dogma style
>multi phase fight, literally sets himself on fire to create a huge updraft and starts flinging flaming trees at you

it's a good thing because it rewards a player that did his homework and brought a dragon weapon to more easily remove the armor, and also rewards the player that knows how to time breaks to interrupt his attempts at restoring the armor

dunno what the fuck they were thinking making him a key quest at HR5 though, everyone gets walled by him now.

You know there's such a thing as degrees of separation? Like, we know that mons and locales like this don't exist but they appear to work off the natural rules that our universe follows, to a degree. But Fantasy isn't a floodgate. Just because theres dragons and goofy looking weapons doesn't mean that its appropriate to have clowns, non euclidean geometry, trap music, and pewdiepie in the game. The tone of the game extends to color tone, and this is the one they chose.

The colors aren't "washed out" they're just not as saturated as they were before. In my opinion, if the world looks a bit more "real" it makes the fantasy elements pop out all the more. Its kind of why I don't like the FInal Fantasy series, its so high fantasy that its impossible to be surprised by anything happening.
