No I own a 2010 disco and a 2008 wrangler. The disco has got 150k miles and everything runs fantastically, I've only needed to replace the battery once.
The wrangler has 40k miles and already needs:
>New master cylinder
>New roof, it leaks like crazy
>Wiring harness is fucked, doors don't get any power
It also has
>Broken radio
>speakers are blown
>4wd shifter gets stuck occasionally
>parking brake doesn't work

Aftermarket for them alone is a reason to buy them above the rest. They're the cheapest and best way to own a small wheelbase 4x4, which is the only type of 4x4 for off-roading.
