Can your car go faster than a 1930s steam locomotive like the Mallard or even the Pensyvania Railroad S1?

Can your car go faster than a 1930s steam locomotive like the Mallard or even the Pensyvania Railroad S1?

Ok, and what speed is that?

Train speed.

203 km/h for the Mallard, 251 km/h for the S1.
Maybe a T1 will go faster soon...

180. 210 without the speed limiter.

>limeted to 180 km/h
Why?
Does it overheat at 210 or something?

My speedo goes to 160mph or so, so probably.

most nip cars are limited at 180 for your """safety"""

Just because your speedometer goes to a certain speed doesn´t mean you can drive that fast.

lmao just looked

Did I say 160?

It goes to 300km/h

190mph

But how do you overtake with a car that slow?

my 5 cylinder begs to differ. 140mph is a sneeze away, been there regularly with 3 other people in the car and a boot load of tools.

Need 160 to beat it. Good road and easy enough. Run out of juice? Chip adds 60hp and 100ft/lbs to the stock 230hp.

jap speed limit only goes to 100. 180 is plenty fast. in theory at least.

>100 km/h speed limit
I was talking about highways, not coutry roads.

>100 km/h
I`ve been faster on a bicycle riding down a hill.

they ony let you go 100 on the highway. japan is really small I guess.

japan BTFO

>203 km/h for the Mallard
Yes it is the fastest steam loco in the world
>251 km/h for the S1.
Provide proof it went that fast, PRR never could.

Sounds like the Venom:
>Ours is faster than yours
Ok, provide proof in the standard internationally recognised way.
>No you are just butthurt.

that is seriously fast.
My cars rear end starts to get light at around 170

Where the fuck did an S1 get to 251kmh there isn't a straight road in the whole state of PA or most of the areas they ran

Late-Era steam locos are so aesthetic

that has nothing to do with the cars performance, kid.

proof?...didn't think so.
