Unless you really want to use her, I woudn't. There's too many cavalry and armor teams around and now with S!Corrin even flier teams are becoming more frequent. Kagero's niche was amazing when the game came out but now (at least in arena) she's practically useless against some of the most commonly seen threats.

What are your opinions on those pairings for Revelations I found around the net?

Since Awakening went the extra mile to pander as hard as possible, the most likely thing that would have been in if not for the cropping is something like starting a second campaign with Virion as the main lord liberating Roseanne and eventually all of Valm. It would mostly have been so that the implication that Marth's descendant doesn't kill off Alm's bloodline in Walmart by making Virion Alm's heir; drawing a parallel of Walhart doesn't have his own Celica, and therefore loses to Virion.
The reason they cut it(aside from time and budget constraints) is probably just to make it so that Virion and Cherche weren't locked to each other for the choice of marriage. Just like I imagine that perhaps Sumia and Chrom were locked to each other so she could serve as his Caeda.

Xander and Hinoka is awful. It is just Xander taking pity on her since everyone else forgot about her. Xander and Sakura is much better if you must pair them with the other side. You don't ruin Siegbert with that hair either.
