Porsche. I like to join owner's clubs and make a point of attending at least one event per year, more if they're particularly interesting. At the time I owned two Porsches, a 968 and a 908. The 908 had belonged to my father, who left it to me. The 968 was a decent example and I planned to do a full restoration on it. As such, I joined the Porsche Club of Great Britain.

I lack the writing skill to get across just how hateful it was. You could not get a more unpleasant bunch of people crammed into one place, and I've been to both Oxford and Leeds universities and spent eight years as an Officer in the British Army. I know what an arsehole looks like. The forum is equally bad, but saves you from being in the same postcode as the wrap around sunglasses wearing weirdos. It was a gathering of mock-Tudor house owning, recruitment firm running, holidays in Dubai with horrid children and secretary of the golf club types. I'd happily visit again, in an Apache gunship.

As a WRX driver, I can safely say I've never met one who actually fits the vape lord stereotype at all. Most of them are trades guys, engineers, or in tech fields and either smoke real cigs or don't smoke anything at all.

Will say that most of them don't wave, it's more like in Pokemon where you get a weird stare-down from a trainer who wants to battle.

I do agree most of the people who own them are just dickholes. I don't plan on owning this car forever, but for what it is and what I paid I'm happy with it. RS guys are usually cool cause most of them came from ST.

It's a little different if there's very few of that model left on the road. I've only seen one other AW11 on the road in the two years I've been driving mine, so we both gave eachother a "oh shit, didnt expect to see another one of these on the road" head nod. I can't imagine trying to wave at every ST I saw on the road though since theyre so common around here.

Probably the most autistic experince I've ever had was having some guy in an R32 GTR pull up beside me on the highway, roll down his window, and start shouting questions about my car at me while we're both going 120+ km/h down the road.

Old NSX owners are pretty bad. Most of them are boomer retards who fucking LOVE replacing every single interior trim piece they can with aftermarket carbon fiber pieces that don't fit right. Then there's the bodykits, so many fucking side skirts with fake vents that look out of place and front bumpers that look like a 2 year old designed them.
