The three most feared words in the streets

the reliability is more like three squares instead of two but...

it's an m62
what are you doing wrong

Try to guess

300 hp volvo 940
performance is red on lpg, green on gasoline
green block of handling is if you count a (strong) preference of oversteer as positive, since it's very controllable during a skid. Furfags can't handle that though

A flat battery and some worn brake pads in three years, absolutely nothing otherwise. I've actually been to the shop for recalls more often than for all other things including inspections combined.

It's close to impossible dibshit, like good luck with mine

RX-8 not really crapbox but I bought it for under 2k with a blown engine so here goes, as it is now with the new engine. With the old engine reliability would be off the charts in the negative direction.

m62's great but it aint no spring peach
also i'm accounting for the fact that you really need to stay on top of maintenance or the car just feels wrong, suspension bushings (all of them) really need to be replaced every 50k or things feel sloppy

I know I added the picture to that. I guess that's what I get for phoneposting

Hate this bucket of bolts, but at least it rides pretty okay and I get surprising speed out of it all things considered. Seats are fucking awful for long trips though, and the passenger seats fucked beyond repair.

Guess I could up the reliability a bit though, I'd be a pain in the ass too if someone lodged a fucking stick of lip balm in the fusebox and it took the new owner 6 fucking months to open it and find out.

What can you expect from a somewhat 40whp 3 cyl dohc vvt keicar. Sips on gas though, I'm able to achieve 60-70 mpg/~3l/100km combined on my daily commute.

>40whp
>three bars for performance
isn't that like, one bar by definition?

peugeot 307 2.0 hdi

2014 Civic Si.

Toyota Aygo 2012
I love my car.

It's the feeling that counts.

A Mercedes?

>7/7 reliability
nvm

It's seriously impressive to make a bicycle this unreliable

1997 Honda Prelude.
with an accord f22 in it

97 mitsi lancer gli coupe with a 1.8L 4g93 off my other lancer along with front and rear strut braces and converted to manual
about to put in a fto 6a12 mivec in the pitchka aswell as magna hubs/brakes and recon my gearbox/get a hd clutch
my first car that i bought 6+ years ago

This is the car I want. What is the closest to this I can get?

If you want both handling and ride comfort you're pretty much fooked

Good handling cars are lightweight with stiff suspension

Comfortable cars are heavy and have softer suspension

in other words it's a trade-off

I'd reccomend a newer Civic

We have to get a baseline for performance and handling because a lot of you are literally rating top tier shitboxes with almost full in both of those categories, and I'm included.

stoogay with a few simple mods

ls400

stuff like the new mclarens handle well and ride soft too

LS400?

ae86

>90-93 miata
>performance anything greater than one box

>implying the average Veeky Forumstist can afford a new McLaren
>completely forgetting user also wanted reliability and shit performance

...

It's a Fiesta ST and yes I'm on a phone

...

94 RX-7. It's been super dependable for the 4k miles I've driven it for. Probably because it is bone stock

she's stiff

2001 Mustang V6
This is comparative to other vehicles in my town which are all bro trucks and celicas

...

w203

...

i like to rate it relative to other shitboxes of its time

not too slow for a barge, and double wishbones make a pretty big difference

N/A MK3 Supra

...

sc400 stronk

...

you should take a box off performance and handling, the sc is not nimble or tight enough and while that lexus v8 is nice, it's not that powerful

Citroen XM with Activa suspension is probably the only one that tics all the boxes, except reliability.

97 Mustang GT with a few simple mods

1993 Ford Probe GT, about to drive 1200 miles to Springfield MO to get back to work

My truck, 16' FL Cascadia Evo

95 Ford Probe base model, the terminal car usually, this is what I drive when I come into the yard and get work done on the FL

the ironic thing is, the 4-cyl Probe has double the miles of the GT, but even after the required maintenance it will need soon the PGT is still not as reliable because it sat for 10 years untouched

...

2003 TDCi focus wagon

Volvo 360

guess the car

95 Toyota 4Runner V6

MRS with some handling and weight save mods

Evo 7 fairly heavily modded

1/7 performance
2/7 handling
6/7 comfort
7/7 reliability

camry xle

1999 Camry XLE

>have an evap issue that I really don't wanna deal with
(popped up like 10k miles ago)

> If a car is boring as physically possible, it should at least get good MPG
> If a car has poor MPG it better be fun
this car is neither of those things

Props to Toyota through the factory speakers/sound system is a solid 7/10
> I just wanna get a new (used) car
> The more time goes by the more I hate this car
> I'm 300 miles from hitting 300,000

what year?
is me

My Ladidas golf is truely brilliant

handling is performance too

2004 Toyota Yaris
what a piece of reliable shit

Weight-reduced 2008 Shitsubishi Eclipse.

Heh at least it is light weight, is it an aygo?

Pic related mine '82 Rolla, eats head gasket once, lost power to ignition once due to rotten, insulation not so good and many missing clips and screw so it rattle really bad. Well not bad for 35 years old shitbox

...

91 BMW E30 318is

Everything I've done to it has been preventative, no breakdowns or problems otherwise

mostly stock

EP3 Civic Si

97 Mustang Cobra.

The ride comfort is better as a passenger as the seat is still like new and super comfy.

is the performance low compared to the potential of the motor or you just think it's slow in general?

Cadillac DeVille
