UNPOPULAR OPIONIONS

ITT: we show each others how much of special snowflakes we are
>european ford>murican ford
>v6 is alright configuration
>fwd is good platform
>vw group is alright exept audi

funnily enough, I agree with you.
Altho I don't think that VAG is alright, I won't really comment on it since it could always be worse

lambos look cool
skoda is best vag aside porshhhhhh

>3 cyl > 4 cyl
>1.0 > 6.3

TOP THIS
>wagons are cooler than sedans

I actually like how the Civic Type R looks

i like front too, but cant be fucked in the ass to say i like rear

>I prefer auto over manual
>I rather buy the current gen, low trim model than the previous gen fully specced model.
>I hate coupe's
>17 inch wheels look the best on most cars
>I like the tablet on top of the dash that most modern cars have

pls no bully

>>I hate coupe's

>FMR > RMR
Penis mobile fug yeah
>Panamera should have had the shape of the mission E with a boxer 6 instead of being an A8 clone
>Dorito was a mistake
>RX8 style rear doors should be more popular
>new fiesta ST is laughable with a 3 cyl which runs as a 2 cyl in eco mode
>fiat 500 and ita derivatives is garbage
>Parking cameras are a mistake; normies tunnel vision the screen and forget everything else
>Citroen/Peugeot/DS are cancer and should've died instead of being partially state funded
>Most affordable-for-yuropoors car brands have zero value nowadays and should die off
Looking at you, PSA + opel

Unpopular with my normie friends:
>Pagani is a fucking pig with a crown that put dildo holders in their seats and not some epitome of luxury with muhh bloomy pics muhh machined control arms and other parts

>Pagani
Tasteless gypsymobile

Haval H9 is the best off-roader ever built
>Fight me faggots

>Lexus RCF>>>>Lexus LC-500
>BMW M4 I6 was a mistake an should've kept the V8 from E92
>Mercedes is best of German 3
>Challenger is a fun car that should keep doing it's own hing.
>GM are fucking retarded for not bringing the UTE over stateside.

>The evo was the best car to come from japan in the early 2000's
>ford aus > ford eu > ford na
>v8's are boring
>twin turbo is boring

>Audi are actually really good cars
My friend has a 2008 (B8) A4 2.0TDI and the car is really comfortable and well built. No meme rattles anywhere. In the three years he's had it he only needed to do regular maintenance.
>110kW is plenty for a sedan/wagon
>If you don't track your car you gain nothing from your 500€+ tyres (for a set)
>There's no reason to fix your daily driver when you know a mechanic that wrenches at home and will fix anything for the cost of parts and a case of beer

>live axle rear ends are perfectly acceptable handling suspension setup when on a racing surface
>wheels over 15 inches in diameter are an entirely stylistic choice on behalf of manufacturers
>The "muh practicality" argument used to justify performance wagons/hot hatches is bullshit
>dirt oval is the best racing layout

I don't like GM engines, not even the legendary LS or 305/350 smallblocks.
Front wheel drive is objectively better than rear wheel drive for daily use.
Rear or mid-mounted engines are impractical.
There's nothing wrong with a V6 engine.
Chrysler has always made better cars than Ford or GM.

Sound is the most important factor when rating a road car

Hyundai and Kia are building great cars that can be had for bargain prices. The Stinger is pretty cool. The Genesis looks cool. The Veloster looks cool.

What problem do you have with performance wagons?

They're ugly and a stopgap for the people who refuse to just knuckle down and buy a DD for when they're not driving their fun car so they settle for a bastard child of both that is less than the sum of its parts.

Not to mention the reasoning I see being trotted out in their defense never sat well with me- The "you can have your wife, kids and dog all in it and still hang tough with a V8 Challenger" idea. If I'm gonna be fucking around on the prowl for stoplight racing or gay freeway pulls I'm not gonna be doing it while I'm hauling groceries or lumber or whatever, shit'll go everywhere and I probably won't be trying to enjoy the "driving experience" because I'm running bullshit errands at rush hour. And I CERTAINLY wouldn't be fucking around if I had family in the car.

If I'm gonna sink a bunch of money into a car to just enjoy I'm not gonna compromise- A wagon is fundamentally a compromise.

>i don't like wagons
>therefor you shouldn't

get a load of this retard

I didn't say people shouldn't.

>Lexus is better than Germans
>I don't give a fuck about the heritage of car makers
>Genesis will end Lexus, Germans, and so.
>LC500 is Japanese Aston Martin

Well you insist that a wagon is a compromise, but if you actually like wagons, it really isn't.

What's wrong with, for instance, a BMW M5 wagon, that isn't wrong with the sedan M5?

It's still an M5, and will kick ass on the track, while still being a full-sized family car with all the luxury features, and still performs as an M5, because that's what it is, except it has a slightly bigger trunk

If a person likes a wagon they'll just say they like the wagon, they don't feel the need to trot out the platitudes of "look at how practical it is!" A wagon is inherently an engineering compromise, based on a sedan but expanded to have more cargo space, that's what I meant when I said it was a compromise. Yeah if somebody just REALLY digs wagons more than the other body styles it isn't a personal compromise any more than a guy liking meatloaf more than T-bone steak.

>wagon = meatloaf
>sedan = t-bone steak

just tell me where the wagon hurt you, it'll be alright

Congrats, this post made me cringe the hardest. The rest of you need to try harder.
The only good opinion you have is the 17 in wheels.
Have a you on the house.

So people are only allowed to have coupes and SUVs? Nothing in between?

NA >>> Twin Turbo > Turbo
AWD is fine too.

The challenger hellcat is a perfectly acceptable car.

Ask me how I know you’ve never driven a FI automobile

CTS-V wagon is GOAT Cadillac and GOAT lux sports car.

We all acknowledge that M5 can't compete.

Don't really know much about the CTS-V, and when i wrote that i was mainly thinking the E61 M5, which would blow away any caddy from 10 years ago, but sure, that could be, never said the M5 was the best, the point was just that an M5 wagon is still a full fledged sports car, and it being a wagon takes nothing away from it in that sense

I picked that specific example because I actually prefer meatloaf to T-bone but alright.
People are allowed to do whatever the hell they want, this is an opinion thread and in my opinion wagons don't excel enough in any area for them to be used seriously or professionally. If you're serious about hauling or towing you get a truck. If you're serious about racing you build or buy a race car. But if you're the kinda guy throwing a couple bags of golf clubs in the back, who maybe goes to a track day once every five months and enjoys rowing his own to and from work then yeah, a hot wagon will really do it all. Just don't bullshit yourself or me like it's some kind of track weapon with a payload that'd make Atlas blush.

he said unpopular opinions

I will never buy a new car...

I have an unnatural attraction to MUH MURICAN NA V8 POWAH.
I honestly can't explain it; guess I'm just a sucker for torque.

I like a lot of stuff that Audi's built over the years and would unironically buy a B5 S4/RS4 over an E46 M3.

Anything made after 1995 is trash.

""Unpopular""

kek'd

>hyundai isn't cheap garbage anymore and is starting to rival the likes of audi/bmw/lexus on performance and luxury

i say this every time that someone says this, but until hyundai puts as much cash into motorsports as those three do, they'll never have the R/D DNA that comes from thrashing a car over a racetrack for hours and hours on end and still finishing.

>starting

>would buy a B5 over an e46
hug me pls

>European Ford

Literally the only decent Euro-Ford product out right now is the Fiesta.

The Mustang, GT, Raptor, SHO, and Lincolns are all burger Ford.

200bhp is enough

Focus and Fusion/Mondeo are pretty solid

The Fusion isn't a European design. It was built off of an American designed Lincoln platform originally designed for the MKZ. The Euro Mondeo hasn't been a Euro design since 2013. Their Mondeo is just a rebadged Fusion now.

>ford is a shitty brand that only americans and brits like
>turbodiesels are god tier engines for high speed highway driving
>americans ruined drifting with their V8s
>ecodriving (not slowdriving) can be enjoyable as fuck

>>ford is a shitty brand that only americans and brits like

I wouldn't say that. Ford does pretty fucking well in Europe as a whole (even in Germoney) and they're capturing a very big market share in China and Latin America too.

My snowflake status: I prefer the A80 over the FD and NSX in every criteria including aesthetics as stock cars, separate from any media perception.

Ford EU died in 2014 when they shut down the Genk factory.
After that they moved to spain and decided do become Ford USA cuckboys.

Doug Demuro's schtick is corny as fuck. The high-pitch laugh, sticking his tongue out, awkward crawl into the backseat...dude is so fucking cringe and gross

its unpopular ill give you that

Mercedes styling fucked up huge this gen.

euro ford brought us the original fiesta and the escort? so I agree with that desu and who doesn't like v6's? the stratos had one and that was an amazing car

yuro ford
>turbos for economy
>shitty DCT
>crossovers
>boring world cars
>fwd and haldex
>overpriced focus rs
Mutt ford
>NA engines
>body frame trucks
>actual performance cars
>rwd and actual 4wd

I only see cars as a utility and motorcycles are truly where passion for speed and engines lies.
