So i beat YS 2 yesterday, and now i'm wondering in which order i should play them. I hear people suggest i start with The Ark of Napishtim since it was apparently the first in the series of remakes they made, and it's the one with a more rough gameplay style compared to the remake of III. I also hear the other games apparently reference that one from time to time?

After that, i assume playing Oath, and then Origin makes the most sense before jumping to 7?

Vorpal+2 is the closest thing to her Zemurian weapon in terms of ATS boost and even so it's still 20 points short

But really, it's easiest to go straight to it after 1&2 because it's almost a direct continuation involving the characters and such, and also is the last one to use the bump system

Everyone gets a failsafe weapon in the final dungeon and in the case of everyone that should be casting magic except for Olivier and Renne get weapons that give ATS. Olivier never gets a weapon that boosts ATS anyway so don't bother making one for him.

For the physical characters, Richard and Tita are the obvious strongest and one of Joshua/Agate should be with Kevin since they're really useful for the final boss for the first phase. Anelace has her own ultimate weapon so she doesn't need one.

In order to get the most bang for your buck make the weapons for Richard, Tita and two of Agate/Renne/Joshua/Zin.

Can't wait to take Valimar down a peg.

Kloe's natural ATS stat is insane and its a lot easier for mages to deal good damage than it is for physical characters. She doesn't need a weapon because she deals top of the line damage anyway.

Falcom's still mad about Dawn of Ys deviating from what they asked for when they outsourced it to other devs- before Celceta Mask of the Sun was the one they considered canon, but there is literally nobody on the planet who played both and thinks Mask is better than Dawn
It's a funny thing to have even happened really, they rushed Celceta out to settle the argument once and for all and have one officially canon that nobody could complain about

Unfortunately for them they fucked that one up too, and Dawn of Ys is still infinitely better in gameplay AND writing
