Gud.

Maybe not the best gud hot hatch for your money, but gud. Depends on your needs.

Tuned it punches above its weight class. Ver nice

an absolute joy to drive. interior quality is 2 tiers above Civic and Focus.

>Not the R
Wouldn't buy

fast FWD is still FWD and will never really be fun.
somewhere in the back of your mind you will always wish you went for a base model 2 series lease return instead

>FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS

Get a FoST.

thats a GTI, not a Golf R. GTI is miles ahead of that piece of shit Ford.

it's good but not super exciting or anything because it's yuge

>Have 2017 GTI Sport

Wonderful car, DSG is great if you need that balance of daily and fun.

Upgrade the shit all seasons they put on the GTI's asap.

Interior quality is "Audi Grade" in my opinion. Some issues with mexican's slapping them together a little fast. My headlights were not configured from the factory, passenger door card has rattle under bass, and I'm starting to smell gas when it sits for a while. Dealership has been good to me so far...

Amazing for the price but an R is GOAT

Can't go wrong with it. 3 door version looks nicer, but depends what you need.

dual clutch made out of glass.
turbo made out of weed whacker.

>inb4 jdmqueen

>dual clutch made out of glass

Post source. VW DSGs have proven solid to near 300whp stock, well upwards if the DSG software is updated.

...

Im trying to snag a low mileage used 2016 R. Found one near by, what are some common fault areas to check?

??
That car is FWD too

Its ok user, bus riders just like to feel relevant

Let me gues you are a redditor.

i own one, but the performance version. tune up to 300hp software only was no problem. has a nice punch.

interior is top notch and maybe one of the best in the entire market (for that money).

theres a reason the golf is the best selling car in germany for ages - its a perfect allrounder with thoughtful design inside and outside.

>say FWD is inferior
>posts FWD eurocuck

Both STs are far more fun than a GTI. Not only that but much cheaper to maintain also.

Thoughts on SP25 or even SP23 in comparison to the Golf?

Can get a newer (2009ish) SP25 for the same price as a MkV GTI.

Check if its had the DSG serviced at the correct intervals

what about jettas?

>no fake grills
>those side vents are actually going somewhere
>overall decent design that doesn't hurt your eyes
Lame. Nobody likes that nowadays.

It is the best all-around car. Clarkson owns one, and he loves it.

Why an old geezer wouldn't like it?

Most old geezers find it too stiff. Clarkson is different. Check out his history. Most cars of his are unfriendly toward the old people.

Because he thinks he's into them and can afford them.
