Seppuku actually wasn't all that common before the edo period. It was used by the Tokugawa Shogunate (also the ones who actually codified bushido) mainly as a way to eliminate political rivals by making them kill themselves.

But before the 1600's, seppuku was a fairly rare thing.

But the entire point of them is that they are from all around the world and work in different armies. How do you explain Norscans, Tileans, Marienburgers, Ogres and worse happily sitting around and working together? There is no common theme apart from being mercenaries. Most of the regiments are from Tilea and that's where a DoW race pack should be placed.
