What do my fellow supreme gentlemen think of this car. Was thinking I'd throw in a new driver seat (or just pay someone to upholster the current one) and convert the broken top to full manual by finding one off an early 90s 323i. Initial price is low so that gives me funding to fix the cosmetic shit. It's also missing some trim on the passenger side, not a big deal.
>
What will a new seat and an old top run me? Like $300 each? Couldn't get an accurate estimate because they're all over the place on eBay..
Oh and what do you think of the passenger door being stuck in recline? Easy fix or no? Overall car looks to be maintained well, dude says he has records and replaced plenty of shit. I'd still do a cooling system refresh if I get it though
>inb4 get shit on for picking the clearly superior convertible

Is this worth considering?

7s are expensive as fuck, and I would say to not get an auto bimmer but if it's a 7 then sure. Price seems good and looks well maintained. I'm still a no though, honestly depends on your needs

I was thinking about getting a 98 Cherokee as a first truck but I'm worried about gas, I want an older truck or car in general but my parents keep saying its not affordable with how much money I'm currently making if I'm to live on my own.

what should I do, I don't want to drive a cuckmobile.

do the math

Fuel economy best case scenario with minimal weight is 25MPG highway, otherwise its about 14-18 City and less than 12 if you're offroading.
source: I own one.

Forgot to mention, I've got the 4.0 I6 with an automatic and 4WD. With the 2.5 liter with a manual and 2WD it gets 18 city 23 highway.

what's the mileage?

do i pull the trigger on this pos?

should I be worried if a 1990 Corolla WAGON has 300k miles on the odo? It seems a tad high. I plan to daily it...

thanks for the info mate

Depends on price. It'll probably go for at least 50k more miles, possibly 100k if you baby it.

900 bucks. Zero maintenance records on hand

It's a bit of a gamble.

do you have the income to throw 900 down on a car that will get you maybe 70k miles if you're lucky or don't find something in the mean time?

If you do and it ends up being fairly mechanically sound you'll at least have yourself a decent beater for a year or two.

but you could also get unlucky and end up having the transmission eat itself or get a crack in the block because it was treated like a beater before you got to it.

Just fucking do it. Unless it will be your daily driver and only car, then it might be a risk.

Do you do your own maintainence? If so, I would even offer less than $900

I bought a non-running '89 Bronco 2 last month for $750, guy was asking $1000, I offered $700, he said how about $800, I said "$750 and I'll call the tow truck right now to take it home, wheter it starts or not."

We made a deal.

I got it running for $0.00 in my driveway, just needed a new vacuum line and some electrical contacts cleaned. Got a new battery, the old alternator was working but only charging 0.7 volts. So I got a new alternator. Now the truck runs fine, a little rough due to age amd vacuum leaks, but it needs TLC to be a reliable daily.

The mileage? Well the odo only goes to 99,999 miles. Guy said it had only 136k because he owned it when the odo rolled over, but that could be complete BS, it could have 236k, it could even be 336k.
And no service records, no info, nothing. I've never owned a 4wd truck before, only done work on FWD vehicles. Guy didn't even know what height the lift was, I pretty much bought a mystery box.

If that Toyota wagon runs and drives thats great, its worth at least $800, but that high of mileage and no service records, I wouldn't pay a dollar over $600.

it would be my daily, yes

Do you work on cars much? If something is leaking, do you get on the ground and crawl under the car to identify what type of fluid and where its leaking from?

If not, then a 300k mile 1990 Toyota is definitely not a good choice for a daily.

It would probably be a better "first shitty car to learn how to fix" car that you dont depend on to get to work, errands and general purpose.

They are not even trying anymore, stupid fucking scamming niggers.

Are you trolling? Didn't it snow in Florida recently because of that cyclone that the media said was gonna rape and murder everybody?

There's no snow in Boca, it's just a bit windy an gloomy.

Missing a 0 maybe

Minor cosmetic problems and high mileage, but besides that looks pretty good, should I pursue?

Why do I get the feeling you came straight from a certain YouTube video?

1st project car, more trouble than it's worth? No idea how bad the rust is overall.

Anyone know anything about Yarises?
