Pretty much every second gen legacy guy will disagree with me, but the zenki GT-B headlights look much better than the later ones with projectors.

For reference. I do prefer the later bumpers though.

Tbf, I don't like them but my gf bought one (which means I get to maintain it) bc she wanted a "new, reliable car" and not an "old one" like an e39. I died a bit inside. But the e60 does ride incredibly well.

I just live in fear of one day when you push the button and it doesn't start, and it's like "oh the sub-sub-valvetronic computer can't communicate with the engine, and the only diagnostic procedure is to start replacing expensive parts and hope that fixes it

Some pretty good headlights on these, IMO.

the ban on hidden headlights and the overall progression of headlight design in the early 90's brought upon the advent of forming them in abstract shapes. This has made modern cars extremely distinctive, however I feel there are far more "ugly" cars on the road today then in the past.

I think it's because car design nowadays is not about elegance and beauty but about building something that has never been done before and about pushing function over form in case of aerodynamics to make it look like it will get 0.03 more MPGs. Pic very related
