If you're only interested on gameplay, 98 and 02 are the best entry points of the series, yeah. Most extensive rosters and allow you to learn the basic mechanics of the series.

2002 has better gameplay than 98, way more fluid.

You can certainly do that. There should be no problems with your plan.
If you want to give the striker system a try (they're basically assists) you can try either 99 or 2000. There's also a couple games (2003 and XI) that have tag mechanics if you're interested in that. Whether you'll like them or not that'll depend on you since people's favorite KoFs can vary.

at least one of us did but it was really bs since i can take advantage of lag to do dumb shit so don't think it's a matchup issue

i had a lot of eaten inputs for stuttering
granted it was BETTER than the 4th or so matches that were literally freezing but it was like "ok this round is decent" and then it would go back to stutter

I thought he ws really cool, one of my favorite bosses, but I only want him to come back in special occasions like dream matches or when warranted. I remember seeing many asking for him in the past and relatively recently asking for him to be in XIV. Since Verse had some of his quotes and him blowing up into pieces brought back Ash I guess he's goming back in the next installment.

Feels bad, man. Though I don't blame anyone for not putting up with lack of lobbies AND training mode waiting in 2017, that shit just doesn't fly.

Heard it's pretty dead as well. Are you EU? I can find matches consistently on PC in America, only problem is, I pretty much know every player by now. There's like 20 American regulars on PC at most, but they are there often. Lots of chinks too, but the connection is pretty shit so they don't count.

South East Asia/PC. Even I get potato connections when I play against the chinks. Truly suffering.

Just play that shit on fightcade. You cant play as Krauser, but at least you can play.

I can only hope that Rugal look is treated well in his battles in KOF Destiny.

SNK seems to go out of their way to make him NUMBAH 1 GUY in everything for villains so far as making him the chessmaster in skystage and true final boss after you fight the orochi crew and orochi, he just jacks orochi's full power and you fight omega rugal at the end.

Then of course there' God Rugal from CVS2 that everyone knows so well.

I also really love the credits for 2002UM where it's just everyone running and then at the end you see who's chasing them and it's Rugal.
