I need help for the empire campaign Veeky Forums i generally sux in campaign cuz I'm the type of guy to reload a new one every day.
What unit tech should I rush first with empire after i've unified the reiksland ?

What should I try to rush ? cav ? Tier 3 barrack ? Canon and other artillery ?
I feel like everything requiere so much building which are very expensive and in the beginning I burn all my gold getting my small settlement rank 3 to have wall and be at peace finally
If I don't wall I have to move my armies around to protect and then it's benny hill time.
If I protect all my cities with wall I can't attack serious player because their 20 stack is better than mine

And for when the enemy comes closer the Archers of the Ardens will let lose arrows of flame, to burn away their rot and filth. They are fairly new but their land is a harsh one constantly fighting off Beastmen raids. There are lots of areas where some random vampire is corrupting the shit out of a town. Mousillon and Sylvania are just the only ones big enough to show up on a map.

Can game still make a profit with only offering a 60$ one-time sale, or are they forced to use alternative methods to recoup their losses and get some profit? Game started to cost 60$ since, I think, PS3 era, is that price is still fair considering inflation and increased cost of development?

Is there a mod for Attila that adds... I don't know, some sense of impact to the combat. The cavalry charges especially look and feel like shit.

The game seems to have some pretty cool features but this is some of the worst combat I have ever seen.

At least Kislev is an obvious placeholder. They got VA's with Russian accent just for this one faction and an older datamine suggested that a Kislev DLC was planned for game 1. They seem to habe changed their plans, we'll get it later i bet.

Tilea I'm not sure, but the uniqie city chain and the fact that Norsca gets technologies specifically against Tilea of all factions makes me believe that it is a placeholder for later too.

A DLC plan also helps with player retention

Games in general cost more to make, especially niche games like total war. CA allows you to actually play against the races in your campaign to see how they function before you buy it. It already puts them heads and shoulders above everyone else.
A season pass would be nice.

No. 70 or even 80$ seems more like it's a profitable price at this point. Games will have more and more DLC until some company takes the heat from the outraged community and releases an AAA game for more than 60 bucks.

Especially strategy/sim games suffer from this - the player base is too small to support AAA quality games. This is why Paradox games, Civ, TW, Cities:Skylines and similar titles are heavy on DLC. It comes with the genre.

It's greed, but it's also worth noting that these decisions aren't something that CA can control themselves and that in the current industry only making "some" profit is a ticket straight to the dumpster for any development studio.

I paid 34 sterlidoos for it though and got the DLC to boot, so the actualy expansion was 27 sterlidoos which makes to something like 30 dollaridoos.
