Anyone else think the choice in weapons is a little bias prior to level 20? You get three dualies, three chargers, two buckets, and three rollers. The variety should've been more spaced apart and arranged to be a bit more rewarding in regards to what weapons come and when.

Stingray is pretty shit and very situational. I use the Heavy but I swear it's just "meh" most of the time.

the thing is, what was clever about callie and marie is they were basically palette swaps but given more unique design to easily tell them apart. they both looked aesthetically pleasing so it is much easier to make an unbiased splatfest choice. but i think lyle mcdouchebag said it best in his destructoid series [Name Pending].
pearl's concept art looked great on paper but they didnt translate it well enough into polygons which lead to one character looking like

and now even when we have had enough time to get used to pearl's design, and our eyes adjusted to the light reflecting off her forehead, people who pick themes that happen to be related to marina will still be labeled as waifu fags, and people who pick pearl's side are still likely to be labled as conchrarians

Octarians are the species name. Octolings are Octarians that can assume humanoid form, like the inklings.

So with the whole datamining thing that happened showing possible playable Octarians, me and a friend realized something that could potentially explain that.

We know that the Salmonids are a super aggressive race that are being spotted near the waters of Inkopolis. From the wording of some of the stuff in game, this is a newer event, meaning that the Salmonid are spreading. Which is bad, considering how aggressive they are.

Maybe in the future, the Octolings and Inklings have to team up to fight this now shared invader as they edge closer and closer to their civilizations.

Any thoughts?

I really hope the next splatfest isn't so lopsided. It felt like I didn't get to contribute at all to the splatfest. And that's not to say that Mayo didn't deserve to win, they won fair and square, but they need to pick better categories so both sides get to play each other as much as possible.

I'm not one to ever complain about something needing to be nerfed but there's nothing more annoying than curling bomb spam, especially when it comes at the last second of the match and ruins everything. That's just bullshit.

Speaking from experience, even when the teams are very close in popularity, there are still a lot of mirror matches.

I think it will be soon, but as of right now I think 1 is objectively a better game. More maps, more weapons, more customization, and the general consensus is that the music is also a step down from 1. I think it'll be a better game than 1 once some more DLC comes out, but as it stands that's how I feel.
