I don't think I've ever seen an english release of a gach ever catch up to the JP original.

If anything, I've seen stuff like english only events that happen to at least throttle the speed so they don't catch up to the JP counterpart, but other than that, they're always behind in terms of everything else.

It also doesn't help that NA got literally none of the qol stuff

They literally didn't even edit the main script for the Main Quests and the Interludes, either way. It feels like these interns are just too lazy or to new to manage the NA branch.
