I wanna get a new helmet that can house a Sena or at least some speakers that won't make my head uncomfy. any recommendations?
Jacob Perry
the thing is i don't even have a reason to be angry actually I am just not sure what to do with my vehicles if i want to fix or just replace them and that question bothes me the most actually
Daniel Gomez
On a budget or game for most?
Shoei GT Air is pretty damned good.
Isaiah Hernandez
Well right now I'm hilariously in debt, majorly depressed most of the time, too tired and ill to work regularly to cover debt, and weather is so shitty I can't even go ride.
Andrew Taylor
>tfw my life is good and i still find enough reasons to complain ayy lmao! whats happening with you my dude?
Noah Campbell
I timed that well.
Robert Rogers
I'm on a budget, but might be willing to shell out a little. I like this one, the designs are really nice!
Cooper Robinson
I did have an NXR (can't remember other market names) but my dad recently got one and I really liked it when I tried it on, just felt like a cushier, roomier version of my helmet, which was a bit more race oriented in design.
Connor Johnson
Where did the meme that lower CC bikes weigh less and handle better come from? A ninja 300 is within 20-40 lbs of a literpeter, most 6-700cc twins weigh as much or more than one. Not to mention they have garbage budget suspension and frame design, and skinny wheels that you can only buy shitty commuter rubber for. Aside from a few rare smol bikes (MC22, 400cc supersports, RS250) most low cc bikes would get spanked up and down any touge by any real supersport.
Nathaniel Torres
>its been a year since ive been on two wheels Kill me lads, ill ride in valhalla

Jump start it if you can, pigfat pieces of shit like are extremely hard to bumpstart.

Ah alright, was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or it's just the nature of the bike's weight+displacement.
Bentley Baker
Oh sorry. I'm always stupidly tired, have been for years a few years now and it makes my day job as a sheet metal fabricator very difficult. Fortunately I work for my parents so I can have time off to recover but I don't get paid when I do, and I have a lot of finances to cover so not getting paid means the debt racks up pretty quickly.
I suffer from quite bad anxiety and depression as it is, which I'm on meds for, but that situation isn't really helping things. I have very little motivation to do much these days because of it, getting out of bed to brush my teeth or having a shower is like running a marathon sometimes.
Brayden Wright
Money and time >cheapest bikes in area are 3k >make 26k a year and 75% of that goes to rent >the rest is for food I also work around 60 hours a week and was dumb enough to have children so..
Robert Peterson
It probably wasn`t fast enough to keep it going. I left my old XT to sit for a year and predictably the battery was dead. I used a rope a towed it with my KLR because pushing is for peasants.
Carter Davis
Waiting for april to get a 1290 superduke r. Can't wait famalam. It scares me a little though. I had a D tracker 125, er5, now a dorsoduro 750, but nothing with truly arm-ripping torks like the SDR
Gavin James
Yeah, I figured not enough speed was one of the reasons. Wouldn't exactly try towing it myself considering I didn't have anyone else to sit on it. Or even a rope.
Michael Edwards
Watch out for open flames.
Christian Walker
You'll be okay my dude, I went from CBR125 to CBR500 to Tuono 1100RR in 2 years. Ride the Duke regularly for a week or two and don't push beyond your limits and you'll feel at home on it pretty quickly.
Noah Lopez
sell one of your kids ?
Asher Baker
>tuono v4 Hnnnngg m8. Yeah I spent about 3 years going up in bikes due to eurocuck laws. I've been looking at a tuono 1100 but I'm afraid it's not the hoonbike I want even though it looks and sounds like pure sex. I ride alot in city environments and the hueg torks and high handlebar of the dorso came in handy when filtering and shit. The abysmal fuel tank is a bummer though, 10-11 liters max
Grayson Hughes
Man i dont even have custody, i just keep them for the weekends. >but theyre both under 5 so its not like i can leave even if i had a bike.
Isaac Long
best head I’ve ever had
Jason Garcia
>but I'm afraid it's not the hoonbike I want
Dude it's an animal, you can wheelie it just about any time you want, I've had it flat out in 4th at about 140, hit a bump and had a sizeable wheelie on my hands. I don't spend much time on the rear wheel.
That being said, you do get more torx with the Duke lower down so it'd still be more of a hoon machine than the Ape, but the Ape is still a total hoon machine.
And the noise, oh the noise...
Kevin Johnson
SAME Dude get yourself another job. Even my entry level office position pays better than that, and I work 40/week. Then you can afford it and have time to ride on weekdays.
Aaron Hall
Thanks user! I'll continue doing some research!
Hunter Peterson
If you can go try some lids on, I don't get on with AGVs for an example whereas other swear by them, the Shoeis could well be the same.
Jose Gomez
Hmmm. Thanks user, I'll book a testride for the tuono 1100 as well then. Next question, how do I made "my" tuono sound like this rsv4 youtube.com/watch?v=q3WdxhXlLpcMUH DICC
Hudson Collins
Why are European girls so ugly Her head is like pea sized
Christopher Lopez
A Ninja 250 might not be that much lighter, but it feels much easier to ride fast and push the limit. But it's true, when people talk about 250s beating 600s, they're really talking about the difference in rider skill, which has nothing to do with the bike itself.
Jayden Edwards
Put that kind of exhaust on it, my Tuono has the Pro Race GP which you can see here: And it sounds just like that.
Be warned though exhausts for the Tuono are heinously expensive.
>expensive The SDR's full akra system are 2.5k eurobucks lmap
Andrew Morales
Same for the Tuono. £980 just for an Akra slip on.
Juan Butler
Which type of bike sustains the least damage from being lowsided on pavement? I'm looking for a fun bike in the twisties that I won't feel too bad about crashing (I've had to pay a few hundred euro to replace fairings on my ADV bike, I'd rather not do that again). I was thinking maybe a supermoto or naked bike, since there's no fairings to scratch, but on the other hand, if I put cheap or damaged fairings on a sportbike, they would protect the rest of the bike. Which do you think is better?
Aiden Jackson
You already answered your own question, supermotos and naked as there's less body work to damage. Even better if crash protection is fitted.
Logan Cox
>V Twin gf edition where to get gf (male) tho?
one of us one of us
desu senpai if you dont ride it like a squid it’s really not intimidating, it’s got plenty of low end torque that you really don’t have to redline it like those i4 fagets constantly. you can just cruise with it around town at low rpm and know that with a flick of a wrist it can damn near rip your ass off that seat like a soyboy, plus with the traction control modes it will help save you from yourself
tl;dr don’t do stupid high rev shit in 1st or 2nd and you’ll be fine, probably
Robert Jones
Supermoto with engine guards Or a stuntbike with a full cage Ive seen caged f4i's slide at 90mph and smash barriers If the bars were still attached you could ride it home.
Nathan Bennett
>Let CB touch the shivvy for a couple minutes >Battery's drained

>650cc will do everything a 1000cc will do better except marginal increases in straight-line acceleration and top-end speed, both should only be important for squids, but a 650 will be lighter and corner better, also cost less to buy, fuel, maintain, ect. Main performance difference is the ability to perform with added weight.
KEK Holy shit this is a retarded thing to say. No a 650 will not do everything a 1000 will do but better. You are high as fuck. Also a 650 twin often DOES NOT WEIGH LESS. A modern liter weighs between 430-458lbs curb weight. The twins weigh between 404-476lbs curb. Even a Honda 500x weighs like 430lbs. The twin that weighs 404 does not offer any wind protection and runs mid 12 second quarter and tops out at like 127mph and has(by comparison) a budget bin chassis, suspension, dash, electronics (including many options not even available), and brakes when compared to the liters. It offers better mpg but at the tradeoff of the size of the fuel tank so range is still similar. (which is also why it weighs less wet vs wet) The 650 twins are a much lower spec level bike, which is fine for what they are.
Asher Johnson
>I suffer from quite bad anxiety and depression as it is, which I'm on meds for, but that situation isn't really helping things. I have very little motivation to do much these days because of it, getting out of bed to brush my teeth or having a shower is like running a marathon sometimes. fuck man way to relatable, was on meds because of literally the same for three years >literally just stopped taking the meds because I felt like they just fuck me over even harder literally nothing changed except for that it got even worse for one week where I was pissed 24/7 and almost ruined every friendship I had because of that F >relationships god damn it user why did this happen because she's orange
Brody Lee
>literally just stopped taking the meds because I felt like they just fuck me over even harder
I'm in the process of coming off of mine, but I'm gonna stay on them a while longer until the weather picks up, winter just makes me miserable. I'm on a lower than usual dose tho.
I'm miserable most of the time though, very irritable and whatnot. Luckily I don't have any friends to push away so there's that, but my gf is super supportive.

To be honest shaking my head, family.
More powerful engines and higher power-to-weight ratios always go up with the weight of the machine.
Unlike cars, the rider's weight and cargo figure more heavily.
A heavier machine is harder to control. A lighter rider is less able to control a heavier machine.
In the motorcycle world, most close competitors in a category compete very closely, like they copy each other's specs and then look to design around their patents. All day, everyday, not like the car world, manufacturers size up their competition and size each other up, and unleash a basically identical product.
Also, the performance gap between 250/600/1000+ bikes isn't as steep as you might think. 0-60 in 8/5/4 seconds, to be very general.
Blake Ward
Honestly the 750 is 95% as fast as the 1000, so if you're afraid of a 1000 the 750 isn't really your answer. A faster 600 in the 115-130hp range might be a better answer.
>doesn't have friends >has a GF wew dud it was the other way round for me, but sounds good. You'll sound like you are on the way to a better recovery. at least for me I am still getting angry sometimes but most of the time I can control it and not bitch at all the people, and it's way better to feel angry than to feel the numbness that you (or at least I) get from taking the meds

Kayden Torres
Older low capacity bikes used to be built to the same standard as the bigger bikes, so they were basically just small proportioned big bikes and handles well and were surprisingly fast for their size (read still a lot slower than bigger bikes).
Now smaller bikes are built on a budget because they're marketed at teenagers, so they're made with heavier steel frames rather than nicer aluminium frames like your pic related, and weak engines to meet emissions and licensing regulations.
Grayson Hall
So you wanna be scum? Suzuki is perfect for you

Honestly the worst part of the meds for me is the brain fog. I used to be fucking smart, was studying a degree in astrophysics, now I struggle to do basic arithmetic and spelling, and it's horrible.

Yeah, the differences are marginal. I'm pretty sure I used the word marginal to whatever you responded to a well.
The weight difference between a 650 and 1000 bike is meaningless, a beer-gut or half-full gas tank can make the difference.
Also totally depending on the engine. A 1200cc Sportster will get smoked by a 600cc Jap sportsbike all day forever.
Bike weight and how it's centered on a bike, matters significantly with handling, even the left-and-right steering lock angles for the same models with different engines, so I will always bet on a 650cc to outperform a 1000+cc in twisties, no matter the make or model.
Nathaniel Reed
>Also, the performance gap between 250/600/1000+ bikes isn't as steep as you might think. 0-60 in 8/5/4 seconds, to be very general.
WTF? Who told you this?
Owen Barnes
yaas queen, relateable! I'd tell you it's all up from here and things can only get better but I guess we both know that's just bullshit lel I mean if you can lie to yourself that hard to convince you of it, I can guarantee you that it works, but most people can't
Colton Cooper
>so I will always bet on a 650cc to outperform a 1000+cc in twisties, no matter the make or model. That's literally the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Are you retarded user?
Nicholas Bell
>I can't actually think when I take my medication
You ride a motorcycle though?
You trying to get on the SS Disability gravy train?
Justin Ross
Hes not wrong though. People dont consider weight
Ryder White
I can focus, and I've never had any problems riding, but when it comes to focusing on intricacies like maths, and in my engineering job working out measurements and angles and stuff, I just really struggle whereas I used to be fine.
Thankfully my riding has come out unscathed, though I did start riding when I was on meds so I've known no different.
It's been the same shit for 3 years now, I'm fully aware it isn't gonna change. Hopefully coming off of the meds helps a little bit.
Liam Turner
Am I being trolled? We've already discussed that a 650 weighs more than a literpeter.
Aiden Nguyen
In my experience, the lighter bikes handle the corners better than heavier, faster bikes.
Something to do with mass, momentum, limits to friction, ect. I'm not a physics major, but I know a 30,000lb semi with 900 horsepower truck doesn't corner as well a 3,000, 90 hp economy car, so I doubt a 600lb motorcycle corners better than a 400lb one.
Yes tho An actual liter is a race crafted speed machine A 650-class is a learner/citybike
Hudson Reyes
>where to get gf (male) tho? Grindr
Noah Harris
So the 650 is better on the street Thanks for clearing that up
Luis Phillips
So I guess the answer to is that people are brain damaged and don't know what they're talking about. Don't know why I'm surprised.
You're talking about the FZ-07 aren't you? The bike world renowned for it's absolutely garbage suspension and worst in class handling, yes that really helps your argument, I'm sure that 20 lbs it saves makes a fucking world of difference. See above.
Jonathan Sanders
Supermoto with handguards, exhaust, axle and peg sliders. It pretty much keeps the rest of the bike off the ground.
Nolan Martin
Youre a moron

Let's talk gear. What brand do you guys trust and why?
Isaiah Miller
Everyone knows 300s are kings of the toogay
Ethan Hill
Why is everyone in this thread so retarded? Before you can even compare 1000s to 650s, you have to decide what type of motorcycle you're actually talking about, comparing a SS I4 literpeter to a V twin sport touring 650 makes zero sense.
Lucas Reed
You consider 12.5'ish second quarter mile and top speed under 130mph to be "marginally" different to the 9's second quarter and top speed in excess of 180 of a literpeter? Liters trap 140's-150's in the quarter mile while the top speed of the 650 twins is 20+mph under that and trap around 106-108mph or so. The 0-60mph times are significantly quicker for the 1000's. Not marginally. Significantly. Trapping over 40mph in the quarter difference with like 60mph more top end. 9's vs 12's. It's not even close.
THAT is NOT marginal. And to say that you would take a 650 over a 1000cc in twisties is also just optimistic to the point of making me laugh. Dude, superbikes were MADE for twisties.
Jose Walker
