I suppose this counts as an automotive related failure too.

Yo dawg, I heard you like busted shit.
Enjoy my truck's transmission.

i immediately felt a wave of fatigue and laziness upon looking at this picture. neat.

My expensive paperweight.

Died at 208k miles

I'd prob just call it a day and come back tomorrow.

Hardened steel needle bearings, ground away into nothing.

...

Why keys?

Is that wood in the frame rail?

I was going to ask the same thing, is this just some sort of mock up or did cars used to have wood in them?

I've always assumed they were being used as makeshift washers.

How someone can fold a truck frame is beyond me

Looks like a frame rail that they attached a wooden beam to because the rail has completely rusted away.
The piece of wood is now part of the frame.

I thought this was just the bed till i saw the hitch

>dont argue with dumptrucks kids

maybe this, or just used as storage for spare house keys and the like

sacrificial metal? :/

2012 prius oil starved. STILL RAN ON 3 CYLINDERS WITH NO OIL

Thankfully the magnetic plug was there. Should be ok.

soibois cant even change their oil properly... or they thought it was hurting the environment

where did the bearing come from?

...

>where did the bearing come from?
It's actually from pre-detonation melting little dimples the size of ball bearings.

weird...

it was actually a young black woman who was absolutely clueless as to what happened and drove it into the shop while it made terrible noises

Arabs did this. gotta be 100-100-100% retarded sandniggers

How can other brands even compete?

>did cars used to have wood in them?
Mg TDs were wood up to late fifties or early sixties.

Oilcan henry uses import wrenches on oil filters and puts red loctite on the threads.

Although I guess it isn't a failure.

>import wrenches
Impact wrenches. Fucking FUCK

why does the block look like styrofoam?

Styrofoam

realy don't know. It was made in russia or chinese.

Gonna hazard a guess and say lost foam casting

>accidentally used red threadlock instead of blue on upper alternator bolt

a-at least it's not backing out anymore

I'll bet that fucker stunk lol

That can't be in the PH, it's right-hand drive.
Even the trashiest of cars here are left-handers, or half-assedly converted to it..

Trucks are strong in tension, not at all in compression.

because in engineering there's the concept of sacrificial components. Some designs will have a designated area to rust before anything structural does. Like a sacrifice to the rust gods.

external compression = internal tension.

You what m8?

>How someone can fold a truck frame is beyond me

It is simple. Hit it hard

Would make a pretty cool light or some shit desu

This is probably my greatest fear

...

>or half-assedly converted to it..

You guys actually waste time converting RHD to LHD?

>this article is incomplete. you can help by expanding it.

no silo? this is convenient

top kek

Oh shit.. Man I'd be fucking pissed haha

tension as in towing you fucking negro.

lmao

My clutch atm

Does anyone have that picture of the Cylinder flying through the hood of the car?
I haven't seen that in years!

Please post it if you have it!
It's one of the funniest pics i have seen.

All your tools would be long gone.

Meth pipe i found while cleaning out new car.

Trunk of my turd gen after sitting with the hatch glass shattered.

What am i looking at here?

>piston
>piston
>piston
>no piston

Hahaha I fucking love this one
>anchoring shit to the driveshaft

I admire the creativity

Fuel efficiency!

Isn't that the new civic type R?

Absolute madman ran for 300 miles like this, and ran when I moved it into the shop. Granted it made noises that made me want to cry.

What am I looking at here?

That's interesting. I saw that and immediately got motivated to pick it back up and put all the tools away in the right place.

Piston skirt in the oil pan of my Jeep 4.0

Ahh. Shit, did you rebuild or was the block fucked?

H-how do you sit?

That's a good question, found this yesterday. At a glance from below the bore looks ok but I'm gonna pull the head and piston to be sure. Oil looked pretty clean other than the big chunks

People sure are impressed by broken motor mounts, aren't they?

Kubota diesel. Drain plug fell out during use, camshaft was the first thing to lock up.
