Is there a good way to automatically dump a stockpile?

I have a deep ravine I'd like to dump my trash (read: corpses) in.

Is there no way to have it do that automatically? I'd like to not have to periodically d-b-d.

It should be possible with minecart networks. Basically set up an automated QSP but with ravine instead of stockpile.

I've gotten two black bears, two giant dingoes, and a giant cougar from the elves. All of them are female.

Is toppled by troll the default message or something? This fort is less than a month old and the only creatures on the list are turkeys and naked mole dogs. Is it some sort of stealth troll that I should be worried about?

Couple raw-related questions:
1) Is there a way to disable climbing on dwarves? It just causes problems, between retards getting stuck in trees and retard marksdwarves jumping off walls.

2) Is there a way to get the elves to send a guild rep as well? Kinda odd I can't tell their merchants what I'd like to buy.

wild trolls live in the caverns. It's possible one knocked down that workshop, then wandered off into an unexplored section of the cavern. He won't show up in the units list if he's in an unexplored area.

Easiest solution : cut all the trees

They can get knocked down by troll (that come along with goblin sieges) and any other building destroyers, so it won't be very effective.

Very few jobs actually require hands.

And you don't actually need a tongue to speak.

Perhaps try changing up your roleplaying style. Or roleplay to begin with, if you don't already.

ranged is worthless in adv mode anyway. everytime you fire a shot, there's a long as fuck cool down afterwards during which you can't even move.

I guess it's supposed to be the reload time, but it would make more sense if you could choose when to do it.

It's better to simply use throwing and just carry around a bow so you can pretend.

I have a guess. When a creature becomes a necromancer there's a period where the game hasn't quite figured out where they ought to be or what they ought to be doing. In adv mode you see this with necros living in their old sites peacefully, or more rarely leading armies to attack their old civ's enemies. This is probably a similar situation, where a necromancer siege would happen and the game puts the army together out of the necromancer's former subordinates. Alternatively, it could be that bandits aren't ever properly removed from the list of a necromancer's relationships when a bandit becomes a necro, and they get pulled along when the army is made for the invasion. This kind of event began happening in .40, when both world activation and bandits were introduced.
I'm only making an educated guess, I haven't researched the subject. I do know that the "they're necromancer apprentices" theory has been mostly disproved.

The necromancer is probably stealthed, the gobs are probably just normal gobs.

Live-training marksdwarves with wooden bolts is really effective.

The stuff that's not dyed has lots of different colors though especially wool. Check your alpacas and sheep they probably have all sorts of different colored wool. Also there's leather.

Even with wood bolts you'll eventually wound them enough that they'll call off the siege. Takes a while though.

Kobolds are good, they bring non-fatal conflict to the Dwarve's world consuming avarice, the goblin's insatiable thirst for conflict, and interfere in the schemes of man.

In addition, they are more than cute.

So how much does /dfg/ look into the history of their world before embarking/adventuring? I personally look at the civ I'm going to play's history at least, but it's really fucking annoying having to sift through all the:

We need a "mark for trading" option. Rather than go through the trade menu you should just be able to highlight an item and send it to the depot like when you designate to melt, and maybe add a "trade hauling" labour or something.
