IRC isn't even hard to use, the primary reason I mentioned IRC is because of it traditional importance on the internet and the type of userbase it attracts. Discord is for literal millennial rejects, reddit community chats, and certain specialty chats. IRC (specifically Rizon) is user home turf as well as the turf for groups associated with the site such as programming groups, anime/hentai distribution channels etc. Discord is literally some faggot setting up a meme room.

Making good progress should motivate you and therefore serve as an anti-drug for your depression.

The only problem with this is that making progress requires effort and work, and crippling depression tends to not make you want to put effort and work into things, so it's a catch 22.

Godot 3.0 is already probably the biggest update the engine will be getting for a long time. It was delayed for a while of course, but I think there wont be any updates that would require as much delay as 3.0 got, even if they don't reach their monthly goal of 3k

I think planning and getting the base work done is the most important part of progress, since it changes rapidly.

Once you have solid ideas on how to implement something the rest is fairly straight forward. The hardest part for me is getting started

Yeah, most of the stuff I've been doing has been number crunching, planning, or behind-the-scenes stuff you wouldn't be able to tell from a screenshot/webm.

It is an important part of game dev even if it's not easy to show it off. Things like optimization fall under the same category.

That doesnt actually help at all but thanks none the less.
