I tried to make those portraits for Stranger of Sword City but kinda failing - game requires each image to be scaled to 4 rather retarded sizes, 746x720, 350x380, 160x240 and 146x32. First one is not a problem, rest are stretched or squeezed. Any ideas?

What if you made the canvas the required size, then sized the image to fit that canvas without looking stretched?

So mechanically speaking. What is your favorite class? Without factoring in sub-classes of course. Personally the Hoplite will always be my favorite defender-type class. Giving the protector a weapon specialization, and removing rear guard in favor of line guard makes more sense. And switch stab gives some damage to movement if you want it.

All in all the best defense class i've played with.

Do whatever you wish. All Earthlain are the same so there is no need for any specific portrait.

Line Guard is really strong since even Gladiators take a beating as early as the first stratum, Bodyguard can be a god-send and the Anti skills are super useful as well.
Also their battle ball gowns look fucking sweet.

I'm tempted to get to 70 now and retire for the extra stats and skill points and to regain some of the difficulty.

If you want legitimate difficulty in EOIV you should use 4 or maybe even 3 characters. Since each one is super powered simply cutting the amount will make things a bit more normal.

Update: I'm playing EOU1 after beating Gimle and wondering why the hell M.I.K.E just didn't let then try to kill the core and THEN fire Gungir if it didn't work. Or start an evacuation of Etria and surrounding towns

Probably thought that it wouldn't be possible for them to convince the entire town to move a great distance away and/or that in the time needed for that to happen the core would go berserk.

What I did was make 4 template images with the requires sizes.
I just drop each of the original pictures as a new layer into each template and resize/crop accordingly, instead of resizing the original image into the required sizes.
Sure it's time-consuming, but I don't have anything better to do.
