Scarcity is the only reason the Type R is selling. If we had been receiving it from Day one, no one would even look at it twice with what else is being offered in its price range/segment.

I get it, its cool that we finally got one. But that doesn't mean its some godly vehicle. Its a fwd, 4 cylinder turbo, 5 door hatch. The MazdaSpeed3 did this long ago, and was only $26k new. It just didn't have Brembos and Recaros, but we still got along fine.

Why isn't the the IS-F more popular? It's like a better Chevy SS.

I mean I can see how the automatic would turn some people off, but it's lauded as one of the fastest non dual clutch transmissions.

I think I'll be getting one in a year or two and can still have my IS300 that will become my modified car.

They're extremely rare cars, senpai and resale value has stayed very strong because of this. In North America, they made up about 2% of all second-gen IS cars sold.

I don't understand why they didn't bring back the ISF. The RCF looks/sounds great imo, but it's ultra pigfat because of its frankenstein platform. Close to the end of the 3IS lifecycle, maybe the ISF might come back for the 4IS.
