Post best invasion zones
>Shaded Woods

How would you rate his DS2 and DS3 playthroughs?

...

>Stalk host and his butt buddies until they reach the bridge
>Shoot millwood L2 arrow at them
>bridge kills them all

Always fun

Why does he force the old dad look?

>mfw the host takes the fun away

>invade catacombs of carthus
>run for the bridge at the end and wait
>act like a dope on the near side, obviously trying to lure the host to follow you across it
>without fail, the host or a phantom runs up to cut the bridge with you on it
>run off the bridge and block the escape ramp
>spooky scary skeletons waking up
>host is trapped with the bridge out and the ramp blocked

dark souls 2 - 7/10, surprisingly comfy but light on substance
dark souls 3 - 2/10, boring as fuck

>Helping new players/characters at High Wall
>1st host has already one phantom, all enemies are dead, is probably ganking invaders
>2nd host has 132 hours played and never got past Crystal Sage, still gets lost and sends me home
>3rd host is a hacker, levitating and summons one regular enemy then Vordt, BC me when I take half his HP
Didn't look like he messes with me, but I restored my save just in case.
I just wanna help people...

I feel like ODK is very RNG reliant, either he one shots you or he never does certain moves and its piss easy

Highwall is a meme area, go to Undead Settlement

>tfw too high iq to enjoy das3

200k souls is literally nothing in dark souls 2

I usually put my sign there after I succesfully help a host in High Wall. Sometimes if I like the host, I wait a few minutes, so they might find my sign again.
After helping several hosts there these last days, I realized is not a very good area for Co-Op. Requires backtracking to get all loot and has several inaccessible. Giant Archer being one of them and specially problematic. Because of him, they also miss the ashes and the bone shard in the graveyard.

man, just think of the levels you could have gained or the resources you could have bought with 200k

Need some help for the Gravetender
fight

They do a lot of damage on my underleveled character ;_;

parry him then kill him quick before the wolf spawns

coming

Shame I had to buy the game again for that to happen

>get shrekt
>...."yeah so I really don't like ashes of Ariandel"

sign down at the fog wall

oh

ashes of ariandel is dogshit
the only good parts about is were the friede fight and the area with millwood knights

How do you get wrecked in there? AssOfAriandel is straightforward with 1.5 bosses.

The area is better than Friede t b h
I hate Friede

FUCK

again

DS3

>Profaned Capital
>Corvian Settlement
>Carthus

DS2
>Undead Crypt
>Shaded woods

Anyone else got more to add to the list of Invader friendly places?

>tfw you die in two hits

Can't you chase away the host at the Dragon Shrine or make them hit the Black Dragon guys to aggro the entire army? I have not tried that, but it seems pretty cool?

DaS3: Undead Settlement, Cathedral, Farron Keep, Carthus, Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, Irithyll Dungeon, Lothric Castle, ADP, Grand Archives, Ariandel, Ringed City

DaS2: No-Man's Wharf, Lost Bastille, Huntsman's Copse, Earthen Peak, Iron Keep, Grave of Saints, Gutter, Doors of Pharros, Shrine of Amana, Aldia's Keep, Dragon Aerie, Shulva, Brume Tower, Eleum Loyce, Frigid Outskirts

gg
Enjoy the arena, if that's your thing

also thanks dude

np

I thought you couldn't invade in areas like Frigid outskirts?

DS3
>Road of Sacrifices
Big area but it's easy to track the target, lot of variety in terrain and you can get really great fights with wolfbros invading too
>Grand Archives
Big but the design makes it easy to find people, lots of ambush opportunities
>Archdragon Peak first half
Linear and full of asshole enemies
>Undead Settlement
Good clean fun at low levels, rarely ganksquads

DS2:
>The Gutter
You have to know your way around it to avoid getting irrevocably separated from the host, but it's scary for the host to have an invader stalking them in here, usually from above
>Black Gulch
If you're an asshole, host has almost nowhere to hide, few summons, and those fucking worms

>Road of Sacrifice
Didn't think you could invade there, let alone summon.

You can, and if you're masked as a white phantom then it's hilarious but be prepared to wait a long time between invasions and frequently run into groups. I haven't played DS2 in like a year though so I'll bet it's even deader now.

Anyone on PS4 need help with anything or want to do some co op?

Dragon Barracks. A lot of mobs and it is easy to find the host. Also the host is almost always alone in that area for some reason.

You can't in the first part, but the clean swamp is called Road too. The whole swamp megazone in general rules. Build a passive healer gimmick that can outheal the poison damage and you can roleplay the T-800 in the dirty swamp.

Holy shit this.
Does this apply to Heide?

>always assumed DS2 had limited CREOs, like dueling in the arena cost Tokens of Spite or something
>it doesn't
>arena offers literally unlimited CREOs
What is everyone complaining about?

>CREOs
>C

If you've farmed aesceitcs, you can easly get 5 cracked orbs for every burn in the first bonfire of Shulva.

The guy in the last thread who said that he only likes Souls for self-validation when he's doing good was on point. I mean, I wish well for the guy and I'm not ragging on him for the sake of ragging on him but it was really evident that he gets off when he is able to "look good" to his viewers by completely shitting on bosses or doing SIK PARRIES.

I mean on this stream his ego definitely got the better of him and he just HAD to go back to get a rematch with the Millwood knights just so he could show that he can in fact parry things.

Still, I do enjoy his streams. He's a very comfy guy to listen to when he's enjoying himself and I'm definitely not one of those people who need people like him to like muh favorite Souls game but if he's playing something and hating it it definitely feels less comfy. Hell, I dislike DS2 but was happy to see him enjoy it.

Farming for a basic online play item is a serious design flaw.

tht, and dueling isn't eveyone cup of tea.

>spend a day farming for CREOs against twitch streamers abusing their strained bandwidth
>spend the next day spending CREOs getting Russian/Chinese hackers half of the time

ENB trying to parry everything in DaS3 really shows how bad the parrying system is in this game. A lot of times he takes partial damage on successful parries, sometimes when he gets a failed partial parry he loses all stamina and dies because he can't roll, many attacks are close to impossible to parry reliably thanks to the startup frames and fake outs. The low damage the riposte does isn't even worth the risk.

nah its pretty good, a comfy snow world with someg ood varied enemy mechanics

What is the best greataxe/greathammer?

I've had a lot of fun with Ledo's and after switching to Yhorm's for a while I just couldn't get as much success with it.

BKGA has the coolest moveset

Are hammer really this shit in DS2?

>Phalanx

Well that was... something

Best in objective terms is probably Yhorm's for Greataxes and for Great Hammers a tie between Spiked Mace/Great Club/Ledo's as each are great in their own way. You probably have less success with Yhorm's because it requires a slightly different playstyle, you have to rely more on outspacing with it compared to a Great Hammer.

Not if you use em' like me

watching hosts get eaten alive by abyss locusts never gets old

Also worth noting Yhorm's doesn't usually combo on 2HR1.

PvP or PvE?

Yeah but that's not too big a deal honestly since Yhorm's has longer range in 1H anyway and an open offhand lets you use something like a Dark Sword or crossbow that works really well with Yhorm's. It's gonna be doing great damage no matter what and War Cry is easy to get off by just 2 handing and tapping L2.

never understood people who bothered wasting time learning how to parry other stuff than enemy players and some knight-type enemies

Great Club.

No really, this armor is the best waifuarmor and nobody can tell me otherwise. A shame that it's impossible to wear heavy armor while also being a decent caster.

what bothers me about ds2 hammers is that none are actual fucking hammers
all maces or clubs, fucking shit

Blacksmith's Hammer is a true hammer and also a great weapon.

Drakekeeper's Warpick is pretty fucking neat.
There is also the Archdrake Mace, but it hits with the hook end. Still nice though.

This is best waifu armor.

thats a tiny ass bab hammer, I want a real hammer like Smough's

It's fucking boring farming them

...

>the low damage the riposte does is not worth the risk
For some enemies / bosses like Pontiff or Champ it absolutely is worth the risk. You can just delete a third or fourth of a boss healthbar in one attack and it is definitely worth the risk.

Criticals against mobs are also a good way to iframe through an attack while eliminating an opponent.

gimme both

Greataxes are all shit except for yhorm and bkga. These two are exceptional due to their wind boxes and length (and ar, of course). Bkga also has a wide horizontal r1 with 1 hand that is unique to it, making it even better in a gank situation. Yhorm doesnt have r1 combo usually when two handed, note.

There's literally no bad gh. Depending on what you want for WA but you will always have good HA and poise damage. Personally my favourites are the wooden clubs and vordt. Wooden clubs have light weight and vordt's frost is often deadly enough to kill in two hits for light targets.

your waifu needs a bath m8

...

I wish daggers were more usable

better angle

do people really find syan knights hard?

???

unf

it looks just right desu

thats better but thats still nothing compared to fucking smough's
if you're fine with having a pencil dick I guess

Baed Mauldron

Oh it's definitely worth it against bosses when you have studied the moveset and know when it's safe to parry. That just reduces the mechanic to something you do for specific bosses. Getting iframes on the riposte doesn't excuse for the unreliable act of the parry itself.

Yeah but that's a combo of armors. As a set, Iron Dragonslayer is just the better choice.

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""Dark""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Souls II

And which game might this be youre referring to

Is Mauldron and Covetous Demon the Dark Souls 2 equivelant of O&S?

You want the Xanthous Crown of hammers?
Here you go, my friend.

who?

How to kill Priscilla? Start with fluffy tail?

Nah. In Drangleic Castle, they are pretty hard to fight with the swarm of Royal Swordsmen.
Also rip in peace Royal Swordsmen Set... ;_;7
I know, but just showing the effect.
It's there. It's pretty annoying to farm, but worth it.

How important is endurance for a pure caster playthrough in DS2?

>when your thicc waifu keeps getting reposted

makes me feel validated in my autistic mish-mashing of armor pieces until I found the right combo

Some of them are probably expecting the guard break move to be effective against syan knights, but the game just arbitrarily says no

3

Start with her fluffy tail__

I did not know the Aurous Set came with an accompanying hammer!
