Will Chevy ever bring back the Chevelle? My old mans 67 Chevelle is amazing and I feel as though if the made a retro modern version (similar to what dodge has done with the challenger) it wouldn’t cannibalize Camaro sales if the make the Chevelle into a actual muscle car
Muscle cars are basically dead and a Camaro does all Chevy needs.
Kayden Garcia
Have we not had enough shitty Detroit retro cash-ins?
Grayson Taylor
The 60s models looked good (including all other muscle cars) but then everything went to shit with that curvy bullshit they brought out. No there's no room for it in todays lineup
Josiah Nguyen
This too, Challenger has been the only decent retro car from Detroit.
Angel Powell
Chevelles are my favorite cars of all time, but they wouldn't sell well in today's market sadly.
Still saving up for my 1970, and a 454 or 502 crate
Brody Garcia
But isn’t the Camaro a pony car?
Charles Walker
People actually think that looks good... opinions never cease to amaze me
Thomas Anderson
>Muscle cars are basically dead
Camaro serves every purpose a Chevelle ever could. There hasn't been a muscle car since the early 70's and it's going to stay what way.
Yeah I don't get most muscle cars, they really don't look that good.
Nathaniel Roberts
These cars look great, big and bold, easy to work on, powerful as all get out. What's not to love?
Colton Hughes
>Powerful
Not to burst your bubble but most of those old muscle cars are total dogs. Most of your other shit is subjective.
William Gutierrez
I much prefer 60s models. They were sex
Zachary Long
Big block chevy's are torque monsters, it's not hard to modify these engines to do whatever you want
Hudson Hughes
I'll agree with you, really any model up to 72 is cool in my book.
It's a personal thing why I love these cars so much, to each his own.
David Russell
They're not impressive anymore though, it's 2018. Sure if you spend thousands on them they're decent but so is a 1.5l SOHC non VTEC Honda.
Considering how heavy these cars are, not bad numbers for stock back in the day.
Dude a set of heads, intake, cam, holley, and headers can be had for under 4k easy
Of course they aren't going to be modern fast, that's not the point, it's the enjoyment factor.
Also who doesn't love the sound of an american v8?
Matthew Foster
>Considering how heavy these cars are
They aren't THAT heavy, especially compared to modern cars.
>Dude a set of heads, intake, cam, holley, and headers can be had for under 4k easy
Yeah, thousands, like I said.
>it's the enjoyment factor.
That's subjective though, I came from muscle cars and don't find them nearly as entertaining as a lightweight, high revving hatch.
>Also who doesn't love the sound of an american v8?
People with taste usually. Most people who do up muscle cars don't know what they're doing and make it sound like shit.
Anthony Wood
>Also who doesn't love the sound of an american v8? It gets old when almost every sound at a meet is an American V8.
Gabriel Smith
...
Jason Morgan
Let's be honest, they should have named the SS the Chevelle, probably would've helped sales a bit if they actually fucking advertised it.
Isaac Fisher
Yeah, everyone knows the Buicks and Oldsmobiles were always better looking than the Chevy counterparts.
Christian Lopez
Now this is a man of taste.
Ian Martin
>no mention of the Pontiac
James Edwards
Pontiacs are really hit or miss. It's up to you whether you like their usual pointed-snouts and radical pig nose grilles, or if you prefer something more straight'n'flat like the other brands.
Jason Reyes
>have Chevelle >love it to death >loud as fuark >go to car show >10 other Chevelles there >tfw get bored of le boomer mobiles and want something different I've been looking at Fairmonts and other 80's shitboxes to turn into a sleeper. I love my Chevelle but there's just something missing, they're cool but they don't have that unique shitbox charm.
Lucas Davis
>muh high revs get yourself a dz302 and bounce that fucker off the 11k mark.
