There used to be a MEGA on ex, but it was taken down. I think the Ugoku version is the one with swf files, if you can find it, but I'm not sure.

Google some grammar, set up a hooker to romanize the text and to act as a dictionary, remove any MTL, play a lot of games, google when in doubt. Study actual runes once you've built a strong vocabulary.

You don't. You learn how to use text hookers, then spend a week on learning katakana (which is basically English) and stop there because of diminishing returns.
If you really, really want to waste your life on learning the useless language, you can make your text hookers bring up the dictionary and learn some grammar, but before that you should find something other than porn that you can't get in a language you understand because let's be frank, 2D entertainment (read: cartoon porn) is all the Japanese is good for.

99% are just the same rpg maker, map exploring, turnbased slime fighting simulators with barely or nonexisting H animations at all, no, I don't count a muddy, pixelated sprite doing a 2 frame humping motion as "animation"

I like the new mechanics, but the movement system is still bad, and animations aren't really polished. I guess demon's sperm spoiled me with its impeccable movement

As with anything, not all games are done amazingly, but here's a few points of why I play them:
*2D art as opposed to uncanny valley 3D models.
*The rpg/game aspect adds context and build up to the porn. You (or your character) are actually in their own world, adventuring around. It makes lewd NPC interactions way more powerful even if they're a tiny 32x32 sprite. Meanwhile, 3D games or VNs tend to just throw you right into fucking.
*Low bar entry point means we get a lot of nice, small games that would've never passed standards the for real life retailing. Constant flow of games as opposed to the single big studio 3D ones that come out every many years.
*The interactivity, you can choose how to play the game. You can let just a bit of lewd leak into the story, have your character be reluctant to it, or be a total slut. Compared to the 3D games which tend to be just "design a girl and put her in a sex scene" or VNs/Nukige which just force you to do whatever the developers wanted.

Not sure if it's /hgg/ or /hgg2d/, but how important it is to get every single heart quest in Littlewitch Romanesque? Will I lose all the event with cute brown little girl if I don't dig through like half of the skill tree in 10 turns?

It's more of an /hgg/ thing, friendo, you might get an answer here as there is obviously some overlap in what people play, but you're more likely to get one there.
