If I buff olgierd up to 20 points, will he spawn next round with 10?
Evan Peterson
Only if you increased the base strength to 20. Green buffs don't count.

perfect example. even the passable women make themselves unattractive by wearing that thick slut makeup.

We need more ESL posting to keep the thread afloat. What are your favorite decks? I enjoyed playing blue/green but I've switched to white/red because all the token decks were giving me the shits. I've been luckier on my blue/green card pulls but Tazkad and Queen Barenziah don't help when you're getting weenied to death.
James Cox
can u give me an example?
Justin Morris
olgeird enters the graveyard and loses his buff points and resurrect with his base strength cut by half, if you strengthen him (for example with the wild board of the sea) that does carry over. but buff (like potions) don't

it's rare to see someone running olgeird outside of SK but it happens sometimes, ST really should bother with him though

is jutta worth using? obviously I don't have her but the last wish in this case is premium
Aiden Turner
if the last wish is a premium it mills for more than a regular, although crafting jutta would cost you more than that, she isn't very good but if you are planning on having a self wounding SK deck one day you'll probably want her
Isaiah Cook
With zoltan animal tamer, can you choose where you want the birds to go? There is 1 that says "damages enemies on both sides" but u can only play it on your row right?
Caleb Phillips
one's a loyal bird that buffs allies and the other is disloyal (meaning you play it on the opponent's side rather than your own) that damages their cards
Jacob Diaz
You play the bird that deals damage as a spy.
Always pick the premium.
James Cruz

I'm pushing nearly 5,000 soul gems now and I still can't decide what cards I want to craft. I've got a really solid basic collection now with all the Skyrim premade decks, full Dark Brotherhood, the madhouse collection, and a good stack of random packs but I'm hard pressed to think of anything I desperately want more than the rest. There's a lot of shit I want, like a set of Hist Groves would be good for ramp decks, especially since I've got 3 of the epic green/purple argonians that ramp, have guard, and increase attack with ramping. Daggerfall mages are expensive as shit but really good. Those undying dragons or whatever the fuck they're called are nice. Supreme atromancers are nice. Miraak is nice. Bunch of good cards but I can't figure out which I want since I've already got a few tolerable decks.
I guess I could go look up some gud gittin top end netdecks but I haven't really been netdecking ESL and it's been working out pretty well so far.
Tyler Price
Although after saying that, I did kind of want Ungolim the Listener for some dumbfuckery shenanigans. Make a green/blue resummon deck with shit like dark pact and a night to remember, and cards that benefit from it like Ungolim, the 1/2 atromancer summoner, etc. Then just bounce that elf on my dick as much as possible to fill my deck with assassins.
Brandon Nelson

Post OC card ideas that can spice this train wreckage of a game up
>Gold card with deploy ability of having an option to demote itself, but gain some kind of ability/bonus str for it >Aerothurge: reverse the effects of weather from damaging to boosting your units as long as weather master is on board >Traitor card: at the end of each turn, move to whichever side is currently winning >Proper assassin (not shit assassin NG is about to get): timer 2: at the start of your opponent's turn, destroy the unit to the left >1 str Ambush card: Spring whenever the opponent plays a gold card and draw a card. >As much as hate Cuckstone, we need a gold card that functions like Loatheb (deploy: any special card the opponent plays the next turn will have it's effect changed to spawning a 6 str unit) >Falconer: Spawn a 2 str Eagle (disloyal) that deals 2 damage to any unit placed on that row. The Eagle returns to your side after the opponent passes. >Imperial Golems rework: now they operate similar to BS commandoes, but have 3 str and come out whenever you play a silver unit >Sacrificial circle: Gold special 'weather'. At the end of your opponent's turn, if there is an odd number of units on this row, destroy the unit in the middle
James Hughes
Haven't the slightest idea user. I don't play videogames on telephones. The game itself is reasonably fun though, and the free shit collecting is tolerable so long as you idle for Twitch drops and spend your gold on the Skyrim premade decks first, then Dark Brotherhood, then play solo arena until you get rank 1.
The reasoning behind that is the Skyrim decks are really good value for 500 gold and are fairly playable in constructed as-is and give you some staple cards and legendaries to play with. Then Dark Brotherhood is solid since you'll get some good shit but not at the same rate as the premade decks. Then solo arena because once you get decent at it every time you rank up you get an extra sack of gold, so you end up spending 150 to play and get 140 or so back as well as 2-3 packs and gems and shit.
Xavier Bennett
It's really fun and super f2p friendly

Nope.
Luke Robinson

Ethan Nguyen
I have no clue why some people even assumed/wanted that Gwent would be the best big thing. It is deeper than the alternatives and simple games are always the most popular: keep your HS, Dota, CS crap to yourselves, I just want to enjoy a nice card game by myself that is not P2W and allows player expression.
Jordan Roberts
I love to express myself with the same 5 netdecks, or losing every game
Ayden Lopez
Sounds like you just cannot theorycraft by yourself. I'm at Master by never browsing GwentDB. Would be higher but I took a break from grinding ranked to create more decks in casual.
Tyler Mitchell
I'm sure you did, big guy
Gabriel Rogers
In fact, I don't even understand people who netdeck, where's the fun in card games then?
80% of the fun in card games comes from developing and polishing your own decks, seeing what needs to change as you play, making the changes and slowly coming up with something solid. The actual gameplay is just a testing ground, not the actual source of fun even when there are some interesting moments.
The same applies to actually buying cards: collecting cards is maybe 15% of the whole fun, yet there are people who just buy everything with real money and skip the whole process just to gain an advantage in matches.
People who spend real money on cards and netdeck are just making the game unfun by themselves in my opinion, desu.
Wyatt Rivera
Jesus. I don't know if my MMR got too high on ESL casual or what, but it's as bad as Gwent. Every opponent is running a fully blinged out optimized 90,000 soulgem deck. Even the fucking aggro players are dropping legendaries every turn.
Tyler Robinson
How good is Ge'els in higher ranks? Seems you sacrifice gold slot for thinning and more reliable drawing of gold/silver. Does ge'els -> frightener -> gold card combo work?
Yes. Works with Giant Toad, too. Ge'els might be the single best card in Gwent.
Colton Flores
And what if you already have good thinning, is he still valuable? Don't know if wait for patch to open kegs, or just craft him now.
Gavin Hill
Monster decks don't really rely on thinning. The value Ge'els gives you is more about consistency. It makes your spy much less of a risk, it can guarantee you a good card in the next round, and it can let you strategize and plan ahead. If you have any desire to play a Monsters deck, you need Ge'els.
Matthew Gonzalez
Thanks, I guess I'll try him, have 15k scraps anyway.
Asher Richardson
>15k scraps Explain.

Is this fucker secretly the best gold card in a game? >7th silver card for one of the best silvers in a game
Oliver Sanders
>Schirru, Gold: Turn a bronze card into a silver card. >Johnny, Silver: Get a free Gold card.
Mill nerfed cards right after patch, you will receive full scrap value for nerfed cards (800 if it costs 800 to craft).
Ayden Thompson
how the fuck is morvran this low, is reveal really worse than literal meme-tier harald?
Christopher Rogers
>tfw running out of last patch mill gains
Down to 2000 after trying a bunch of different meme decks. This patch needs to go ahead and hit so that I can re-up. I have an ubsurd amount of spares this time
Elijah Ross
Even an Axemen deck running Harald is better than Reveal.
>build an archetype with only one win condition >it's a bunch of buffed bronzes that are weak to 20 different effects >don't give them any tools to play around those effects
Jace Nguyen
>not collecting all the cards That explains. Though you still have tons of ore too, I guess you either spend real money or grind like crazy.
Tyler Edwards
Yes, Harald is just a bad leader, Reveal is bad archetype
John Harris
>either spend real money or grind like crazy I just do 175 ore dailies every day, did not spend ore since the middle of june. Apparently open beta starts in China in the end of august after gamescom, maybe they'll release the patch then, maybe even later. There's a rumor they are changing some mysterious core game mechanic that has been in gwent since Witcher 3. They are reworking 1/3 of card base, so it is going slow. Also single player campaign may not even be in this patch.
Chase Harris
Johnny only works like that with Dash and Cerys though, and you need to draw either together with Johnny, so its a gamble, Schirru is guaranteed value.
Camden Cooper
You're right, but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed. You might not have a card you want to sacrifice to Schirru.
