Justin Martinez
/int/ should have won.
Aaron Wood
/int/ should have won.
Samuel Davis
probably the one between /g/ and /toy/ lotta good action and /g/ was close to getting things tied near the end
Hunter Gutierrez
m vs. d
Ian King
/m/ - /d/
Luis Thomas
/g/ vs /toy/ was pretty great
/m/ vs /d/ was hilarious >no shots on target >win anyway
Benjamin Ortiz
>15 mins of technical difficulties >/d/ get shots on target, but none go in >/m/ can barely get the ball past midfield >half time >0-0 >full time >0-0 >Extra Time >0-0 >goes into penalties >goes into sudden death > /m/ manages to win after /d/ misses up
how the fuck did this even happen
Christian Rodriguez
Veeky Forums - /jp/ was fantastic
Nathan Harris
/jp/-Veeky Forums, would've been fantastic if /jp/'s last siege had gone in.
Levi Garcia
Veeky Forums winning is the better result anyway
Elijah Sullivan
I disagree but that is just opinions and I respect yours.
Anthony Brooks
Thanks for all your effort /jp/ managers. Was a fun cup. I'll miss /jp/ for the 6 months they're away again. Congrats to Veeky Forums.
Hope /u/ wins but would pretty much be happy with anyone left.
Luke Gray
who here /readyforlgbttowinastar/?
Charles Torres
It's one of those situations, where no matter what you do, PES already decided /yourteam/ will lose. And I don't mean the usual "HURR I FUCKED MY TACTICS BUT WILL CRY PES'D ANYWAY" situation, I mean those occasions that happen once or twice per cup where PES already decided the winner and you could have DF and JB together vs >Art with a 2-3-5 and >gold defenders and >Art would end up winning 1(1) 1-0 15(13) and 8+ saves.
Grayson Diaz
Thanks, it was a very nice cup, kind of a shame it ended so soon for us but oh well, at least we are on Winter. Veeky Forums is a fun team so I don't feel too bad about the loss.
Eli Butler
>mfw
intredasting, i don't exactly know too much about the inner workings of PES
Isaac Ward
>1(1) 1-0 15(13) and 8+ saves. Still better that winning with 0 goals.
Christian Hughes
Thanks for working hard and representing a little board well with good tactics and great aesthetics. Take it easy with some TH16, you guys earned it. Hope you come back strong in Winter.
Blake Wood
>easy with some TH16 are there any /jp/sies outside of the spinoff boards that even play the games anymore?
Nicholas Jackson
GODOOOOO MAAAAAARSSSSSSS
Luke Brown
Id want /jp/ to win because the new 2hu game came out, but they're fine.
Thomas Brooks
This. It was a close game. They played well but couldn't bury the final chances. At least winter leaves us another chance to get to the semis
Evan Gomez
Day 7 tipping results. >best performers: Flowonthego - 10 MarijuanaMerchant, Fapoleon - 8 Tuna Merchant, cschimm, me - 7 >leaders Kitfag - 45 Flowonthego - 41 (he missed day two by the way) Fifz - 38 MarijuanaMerchant, Mel - 34 /// Now, remember that this is how the final day of tipping goes. Tip the four quarter finals as normal. Then, tip who you think is taking home the star and what the score will be in the final, those are worth three points each.
>tfw /myteam/ got to the QFs I couldn't care less who won the Cup tbqh. All I wanted is for /myteam/ to not go to the babbies. Honestly now, /myteam/ will get annihilated in the QFs.
Is /d/ elite? They've stayed up 4 times in a row but don't have any marquee wins. They finally defeated /mu/ this go around, but /mu/ was the wooden spoon, so was it an accomplishment?
They couldn't beat /m/ and /m/ was one of the weakest entries to the RO16.
Now /d/ hasn't won an elite knockout match since staying afloat, but all of their RO16 bowouts have been against really good teams.
What do you think? Are they a team to watch out for? Or are they just lucking through elite group after group?
I personally think they are an overperforming Yo-Yo team, like /f/
Blake Thompson
They're the new Veeky Forums They'll go on a run one of these days or get relegated forever
Dominic Foster
You too!
Michael Davis
I personally think that /m/ match was horseshit.
Nathan Hill
>all these people betting on /myteam/ to win Aren't you tired of getting proved wrong?
Jackson Wood
>not betting on my team to win And then they win and I kms.
Jayden Collins
An additional tidbit. On their current 4 elite run they have won 6 games, only one of which was against a knockout team (/toy/ Winter 2017) 4 draws and 6 losses, posting a pretty weak win rate but about a 50% adjusted efficiency rate.
One more fun fact for you, in this four elite stretch, they have advanced with 1 more point each time! 4 Winter 16, 5 in Summer 16, 6 in Winter 17 and 7 in Summer 17
Austin Lewis
why are /u/ and /lgbt/ the /supervillians/?

/tv/ will get the star just like these dubs say so
Jack Clark
Maybe not the star but getting past /u/ is more or less a given.
Jace Baker
Well they'll certainly need a big preformance against /u/
Jordan Cook
>dubs >on Veeky Forums What did he mean by this?
Dominic Lewis
>let tester leave >they go to the final day while you get >1 point Really makes me think desu
Elijah Cook
Veeky Forums - /jp/ for management, /vr/ - /tv/ or /toy/ - /g/ for goals and memes.
Dishonorable mention to /m/ - /d/ for being fucking godawful until the meme pens.
Ryder Diaz
who /m/ here
Chase Jenkins
>/u/ Anime team that rose from being another porn board team no one really gave a shit about to being a well-managed team that's had a strong showing since Winter 2016
>/lgbt/ A team that had no strong showing in their first 2 years of existence, was dead for all of 2016, and showed up out of nowhere for Spring 2017 and ended up winning the whole thing without losing a single match. Also the only board that has less fans than it is /p/
Also there's no /mlp/ /pol/ or /r9k/ to hate on this match, and no one wants the team that went from literal who to winning the babby to win the cup. /u/'s picking up more heat lately because they're also a homo board, I guess.
Cooper Richardson
They're a solid midtable side, helped along by RNGeesus blessing them on occasion.
This /m/ fuckfest was RNGeesus collecting on a debt.
Leo White
I deceided to watch foodfight tonight /4ccg/
Ayden Robinson
/u/ was always a consistently good team that went into the weeds earlier this year. Parts of their council are annoying and a lot of plastics jumped from the burning wreckage of /a/. Due to that, anti-weeb plastics go after the weeb plastics and jerk each other off.
/lgbt/ gets heat because they're a board for literal fags, so figurative fags get triggered by that. If they weren't a gay board, they'd be Autumn 15 - Winter 16 /out/ or Autumn 12 - Winter 13 /wg/ and everyone would bandwagon them. There's also certain people saying /lgbt/ should've be the heels even before they stepped on the Summer pitch.
If it weren't for those things, it'd probably be Veeky Forums for Shit Marino or /m/ for sneaking in the back door or /toy/ for Karth being incapable of not saying dumb shit. Or Veeky Forums for running Height Abuse and having a 30 something year old manager who posts like they're 13.
Jacob Peterson
And Veeky Forums isn't even supposed to be here. /out/ was, so this is even worse if he wins. I wouldn't mind karth getting a star, but some managers are fucking idiots
Alexander Taylor
>Veeky Forums for Shit Marino >/toy/ for Karth being incapable of not saying dumb shit >Or Veeky Forums for having a 30 something year old manager who posts like they're 13. >hating teams for their fucking managers For what purpose?
Brandon Turner
Also if you're going to try passing off hating a team's manager as a good reason for hating a team itself what the fuck are you doing not mentioning >Roo
Owen Phillips
>well-managed team that's had a strong showing since Winter 2016 More like since Spring 14
>A team that had no strong showing in their first 2 years of existence Wrong again, newfag. /lgbt/ was seemingly unstoppable in Autumn 13 before they got PES'd by /hr/ like so many other teams afterwards, which was their very first cup.
Brody Myers
>More like since Spring 14 or even Summer 13, with a >losing to ghost of M3OW break in between
Jackson Gomez
I thought Roo was dead.
I've been asking that for years; if you need an excuse to hate a team, then hating the person/people behind the team always works.
Xavier Gomez
>the fags have had nigh-unstoppable beginner's luck both times they entered/returned to the cup I guess if things ever turn south for them, they'll know what to do.
Aaron Adams
Veeky Forums also killed /vp/ off a 90+ corner header. That sucks.
Parker Mitchell
>plastics what the fuck is that supposed to mean

See also: "running Height Abuse" As /u/ have proven even if you don't really need to become height abusing fucks to run your playstyle (and Veeky Forums definitely don't, /u/ arguably don't either considering the success similar non-HA teams like Winter Veeky Forums and current /g/ have had) it helps to slap an extra 5 cm (or 20) onto your striker(s) to get literally free goals from corners (or force them easier before getting literally free goals). reminder that 4 of /u/'s 9 goals so far were NOT off corners and half of them were on takeaways near the box
Kayden Rogers
So who are the teams we want to see win the cup?
Dylan Nelson
/tv/ that's it
Jose Bailey
Big man - little man is one of the enduring strike partnerships for a reason; when your big man is 205 cm, it gets a lot easier to win air balls and play on your faster, smaller striker. This is why Kinsey (big man) and Autogynephilia (little man) got Golden Ball and Boot in Spring.
This seems to work less well for teams that have two HA strikers, although you have Veeky Forums being dangerous on late runs from small players and Costanza showing up too late for /sp/
