on one hand, the core gameplay doesn't change with access to the DLC content on the other, having access to more powerful weapons does make not losing more enjoyable
if you can at least carry your own weight on OVERKILL difficulty using just f2p shitter weapons and are having fun with the game then you'll probably find the DLC a valuable investment (whether you pay for it or use unlocker doesn't really matter)
if you suck at the game and/or you're just not having fun then don't waste any more time or money on this dead franchise

Im just getting kind of bored Overkill is too easy and mayhem is ok as long as im playing with 2 other friends. And while we can get to crime spree 400 and do some of the missing dlc's we dont have, theres a lot of times where i want to do hotline miami dlc and some of the other paid heists because theyre actually really fun imo Also the fact that i want to be able to use shotguns and not have them be worthless on mayhem, or being able to use a sniper build, having the anarchist deck ect.

Raid is made by a totally different team so whatever happens, Payday 2 will get its support (and in theory new content) until the end of 2018 where they will finally leave it to die and go on with their walking dead game or whatever they have in mind.

also, for comparison, OVERKILL's The Walking Dead was announced within the same week that LGL's conscription was revealed and the latter studio managed to release their game first
