Disagree, old caddies and Lincolns were bretty much pure luxury. Cadillac is now fisher price BMW, and Lincoln has the right idea but they're not competitive. Honestly, I've driven in a lot of super nice BMWs and Benz, and yet the comfiest car I've ever been in was a Lincoln town car.

I think you did, '20s and '30s Cadillacs and Duesenbergs were among the most luxuries cars in the world during those decades. But something about the post-war consumerism craze irreversibly damaged the mindsets. Might've started in the early '50s, might've started in the late '50s, it was a slow change, but it was visibly in progress by the mid '60s. Cadillacs, Lincolns, Imperials, they had all deteriorated in quality for greater mass market affordability by that time.
