thin tires on snow are better if theres a thin layer of it and theres stuff like tarmac under it ( which is the case in the vid ). It focuses the cars weight and lets it dig in deeper/pierce through more snow than a wide tire would. If he was racing on pure snow with a thicc layer of it, wider tires would be better probably
