She has some development problems in her route due to it requiring knowledge of the other two first. It's an abrupt change of pace and fails as a standalone unlike Fate and UBW.

Also likely the fact that Shirou throws everything away for her despite her problems. This is hard for many to grasp as that sort of love is a very rare and unusual concept.

Then there's just some weak writing problems for her when you compare to Kohaku back in Tsukihime.

She ain't amazing but I think she gets far too much blind hate leftover from early VN mistranslations.
