The generic NJ plate is underrated. I don't say that because it looks good on it's own, I say that because it had high contrast between the letters and slightly reflective background making it easy to read especially at night. The yellow is also good at making it noticable and unique without being udderly disgusting or clashing deeply with the paint colors of any car you put it on, which couldn't be said about the previous plated which were awful deep tan letters on a sky blue background.

In Iowa, even on the current plates, if your plate frame obscures the county name, that's sufficient reason for a traffic stop. Even though if you move to a new county, you're not required to get new plates, so all the county name is good for, is knowing in what county the plates were issued. Which means nothing.

God, I hate plates with off-center characters so much. Either put the entire combination in the middle, or arrange a set of three on each side of a centered logo. Don't just fucking slap a logo on the left or right and then put the entire combination next to it.
