all the mishimas besides djin are about the same in terms of tier so just pick whichever you like
even then dj isn't that far beyond the other mishimas
Jeremiah Hernandez
probably because it has fairly high pushback so when you press a button it whiffs and you eat the punish
Angel Ortiz
I feel like Heihachi is a little limited. It's weird, 90% of his movelist are mids but you have to respect them all anyway.
Jackson Perry
>hit guy with 3 slide tackles in a row >for every round 3 rounds straight >still never blocks low ever
why dont they use brain
Logan Evans
Maybe not but he is by far the most boring. I don't know why but there is hardly anything a D.Jin player can do that will impress me, which is weird because i have always thought Mishimas had the coolest fighting style in Tekken.
Thomas Fisher
knee's dj is fucking crazy good and never ceases to impress me desu
but he's like the only dj who even attempts to do the stupid hard combos like hellsweep/df2 > electric x5
Gavin Nelson
tfw hit a wall and I have no idea how to get better
Christopher Cox
me too babe
i think its time to train a sub

easy ways to improve: work on movement and learning random strings or frame data for any character and how to apply it.

One of my costumes for Paul is made to look like Johnny Bravo
Aiden Kelly
What character is that?
Xavier Turner
KA!
James Smith
I will literally never learn to block sweeps
I lose against complete shitters who only get damage from sweeps and random hopkicks because that's their idea of a neutral game and I can't react to their retarded sweeps
Henry Sanders
you should learn to block sweeps
Luke Garcia
It wouldn't suprise me if Knee had a sick D.Jin. But it's not really so much about how people play him, as it is the character itself that is utterly uninspiring. It's like they just gave all of Hachi and Kazuya's good moves to him and forgot he needed Devil versions of the already good moves too.
I wouldn't call him braindead but it's depressing to know that he is essentially just an upgrade over the other two.
Oliver Walker
instead of learning to block them, learn to delayed hopkick them as they start up.
Xavier Walker
>having a hopkick
Sorry but I'm using honest characters.
Isaiah Flores
what's the point? if I could react to them in any capacity I'd just block and ws launch them
Colton Wilson
Is Katarina good at higher levels or is she just a character to learn the game and then move onto other characters?
Gavin Parker
i'm pretty sure every character except the fat ones have delayed hopkicks (uf,n+4).
idk my reaction to something slow is to counter attack with jab or df+1 or move (backdash/step), but snake edges have long range, are homing, high crush and also evade some mids. so my answer is to try to low crush them, and delayed hopkick is a high damage and long range launcher.
Chase Young
she kinda sucks her lows are fairly high risk low reward unless you count her sweep but if we're talking about high level you can't really count her sweep
Caleb Phillips
everyone has delayed hopkick
Landon Allen

This. Unga bunga df1 df1 df1 df1 and flying mixups all day.

Kazumi is all Fundamentals
Jackson Sanchez
>Unga bunga df1 df1 df1 df1 df+1 is 13f on startup -4 on block, wait for your turn
>flying mixups all day. RSS after f+3~f can be stopped by a single jab RSS 50/50s can be avoided all together by sidestepping right.
Easton Moore
she would be if her df1 was generic instead of retarded
James Carter
Not as bad as Law's junkyard.
Christopher Bailey
gimmicks arent unga
Noah Lee
Maybe stop pressing buttons for no reason? Her df+1 is not even that good, it used to be much better in vanilla Tekken 7.
Justin Thomas
...
Dominic Stewart
>take your turn >stop pressing buttons it literally does everything for her including whiff punish and track steps and she has a delayable string extension
unga is something that works in many situations basically all the time gimmicks are literally the exact opposite
Isaac Wright
Lmao what a garbage customization. Do you look at this and think, yep, this looks nice?
Brody Perry
>delayable which no one ever uses >worst case scenario you lose 20 health >you block it and have a punish worth way more than that depending on the character
thinking turtles
Benjamin Richardson
>post yfw download complete
Levi Hernandez
>delayable which no one ever uses have you not played against a kazumi player or watched any kazumi player ever >worst case scenario you lose 30 health worst case scenario you get wall splat >you block it and have a punish worth way more than that woah you mean she has to take risks on offense to establish some conditioning woah
Oliver Scott
What's supposed to be so fucking good about a stick anyway? Fuck paying $100 just so you can pretend you're in arcade instead of alone in your bedroom.
Gavin Moore

Damn man, I'm sorry that you're unable to sidestep to escape from under a wall. Haven't seen a single kazumi juggle ending with df1,2... maybe the blue rankers you play do that.
Angel Taylor
It's more fun and fluid for me. However the main reason I use one is because my hands hurt in the area between the thumb and index finger for some reason when I play pad now.
Parker Diaz
i personally find a stick to be significantly less harmful to my hands
Tyler Cook

Kevin Martin
I have the opposite issue, sticks give me bad hand cramps. Although when I played tekken in Japanese arcades I strangely didn't have that problem, instead just having the usual problem of stick feels too loose for me.
is it really going to take me 2 goddamn years to be average at this game
Brayden Cox

It's still amazing. I'm actually eagerly awaiting the day I don't just auto win with df1, df1, b1
Noah Ramirez
>When you learn backdashing, two combos on your main and finally start winning against other shitters This is what progress feels like
Oliver Carter
>it literally does everything for her including whiff punish What is the meaning of this? What is the logic behind this?
>and track steps It doesn't track that much. Sidestep right.
>she has a delayable string extension And? If df+1,2 comes punish it hard. Your opponent will think twice before using it again.
>worst case scenario you get wall splat df+1 doesn't wallsplat, df+1, 2 does
>woah you mean she has to take risks on offense to establish some conditioning
I'm really trying to be helpful here but it seems that don't actually want any help understanding the character. Kazumi has limited tools and might be the most straightforward character in the game with Shaheen. Df+1 is not some magic win move when you actually put some thought. In all Kazumi has a very limited but sometimes effective tool-set that you can counter anyway.
Jacob Cook
Am I doing it wrong when I like to use LiliĀ“s sidestepping moves? Sometimes its really great when I see enemy doing something its free dodge+good damage, but liliman never does.
Luke Morris
pretty sure liliman does ss3 on oki, the thing is if you're ssing and made something whiff you might as well do hopkick for juggle damage/wall carry.
Elijah Cox
i do understand the character i understand how offense works her df1 is extremely good and a decent player makes it feel oppressive just because they get punished once doesnt mean they wont use it i mean thats like saying a mishima player is not going to electric because you duck and launch him that one time besides i can say the inverse which is that if you get caught by the 2nd hit when its delayed then that makes you think twice about taking your turn to counter attack after blocking df1 every move carries risk so of course do does kazumi shit but its way too effective and efficient of a move given its range tracking and damage i was referring to the full df12 string wall splatting because that is what we were talking about
i appreciate that youre being helpful but i dont need it because i am and was only saying her df1 is an incredibly strong move and thats it
Josiah Bell
tfw you backdash out of a +9 rage drive and punish them
