5.0l's get my dick hard

Not even the best V8 Ford has produced.

this

voodoo > coyote

who are you quoting newcunt?

>his v8 only has 1 throttle body

ferrari makes the only good v8s

Ah, it's so funny watching peasants argue.

LS or gtfo
Ford and eurofag needs not apply

>There is no close second.
I disagree. Pic related

plus like this guy said

post an LS making 5s in the quarter mile.

Wish they'd make a shitload more of these so the price comes down.

Even the "boost ready" coyote crates are like $12,000

Ford VS Chevy threads never fail to pick that one cherry. Every time.

the teksid 4.6 is better desu

dat roar

>not choosing the DOHC LS7

400 HP in 1958, inb4 gross v. net

>Weighs more than my house

Best V8 right here
>5L M119
>Twin turbo for more sex

I wish they'd pick one fucking architecture and stick with it so the price comes down. Almost as good/bad as 1970 where you had FE's, Clevelands, Windsors, and 385's all trying to be the top engine choice and no aftermarket vendor wanted to invest money in a family that might lose out so you were stuck with Ford parts that didn't make it to the street that much.

>counting is hard

you can find parts for every old ford v8, what are you talking about

>overcomplicated DOHC and VVT bullshit
>meanwhile Chevy and Dodge are ripping out 700+ hp on pushrod motors

new GT500 makes 772 hp

proofs?

That car and engine doesn't exist.

EcoBoost truly is the greatest innovation of our time

>supercharger
>ecoboost

neither FCA nor GM can compete

Yeah, and they all cost significantly more with less choice than the Chevy 350. And the difference was even greater back then.

Quarter miles are the best performance test. Different dynos produce different numbers but times don't lie

>4.6 cobras have problems with oil pump gears
>they blow with any power addition
>upgrade to billet suggested

>many years go by
>5.0 coyote
>still doesnt have billet oil pump gear
>still costs like 400 bucks
>still have to take 90% of the engine apart to replace it

Its still shit mate

In turns of price, you can't beat a Vortec 350.

How do they make them this cheap?

Not naturally aspirated

*one cherry* Currently there are 2 OFFICIAL modulars in the 5's. MMR's 5.0l Coyote ran a 5.80 at 256. While the ACCUFAB 4.6l DOHC ran a 5.88 at 250 with STOCK HEADS AND CRANK.

doing that swap as we speak on my 97 GT. Can't fucking wait

the fuck you talking about, negro? *replaces oil pump* You can run around 8-10 psi boost very safely, get some nice I-beams and you can go to aorund 1000-1500 hp on the block. Shit is getting cheaper everyday too.

The coyote also comes with an optional FACTORY SUPERCHARGER with WARRANTY.

You know I can go to a pick a part right now and pull a 5.4 DOHC with 30k miles for 900 dollars right?

While its out upgrade the oil pump gear.
I built a screamer 7500rpm peak power n/a and l blew my pump gear in my 96 cobra.

Or less.

how will changing the block make more power?

damn, planned on getting a new Water pump and oil pump while it was out. I'm doing a full 98 cobra swap with a MarkVIII. By the time I am done the only difference between this engine and a Cobras will be the Crank.

>you can find your v8 in any rural and suburban junkyard
>best

The 96-04 Mustang GT's came with 2 valves and SOHC, while this is a 4v DOHC. The actual difference maker is the heads. The block just has less miles, and is also a TEKSID block, good for around 1000hp.

what is *reliable, affordable, buildable, and safe investment* for 500, Alex.

mark mviii engine*** its going in a Mustang

Step aside

>18625160
WEw lad. That is one HELL of an engine. Great taste user.

Big difference between a junk yard engine gamble and buying a new crate with a warranty.

*engine gamble* You know some junkyards offer warrantys right? not to mention the parts are everywhere, including where you bought it. It is objectively safer than online crates. You actually face to face deal with the seller.

...

I'm not seeing the issue?

*breaks down in italian*

He is highlighting the air intake.

What is the hood scoop even for at that point?

Why are you pretending that its some kind of feat that you can get a junkyard engine for less than a brand new one. No shit sherlock. Do you really think you can't get a 350 out of a GMT400 for just as cheap if not cheaper from the same junkyard? What is the point you are trying to make?

oh lol gotcha. I'd call it factory rice.

My point is you can get an engine that's objectively better, more reliable, and has more potential than the 350 for cheaper in a junkyard.

>more potential than the 350
Objectively wrong. Dollar for dollar a 350 will perform better than exotic 4-valves.

Allow me to refer you back to the *get cheaper than 350* A 5.4DOHC with Cobra Intake cams (which you can get for less the 250 dollars) will make around 320-350 RWHP. You can get C heads of a 99 continental for 250-300 dollars and then be making 330-380 with those cams mentioned. Lets go farther, tack on 250 dollars for a cheap ebay turbo or Nitrous wet shot and youll be winning at every stoplight with the same engine used in the Super Stallion, Ford GT, Cobra R, and various othe rdrag cars and American racing leagues.
Shit is cash user, you should try it out.

>dollar for dollar

stop being poor

...

Who gives a fuck about stock power outputs? I thought this was an enthusiast board? Why would "production" matter? Lets see if that's more reliable at xxxxhp than a sbc or LS.

PS it's not good when a literal junkyard garbage engine makes more power than a $10k crate engine.

>Ford had fake scoops even in the early 70's
fucking wew lad

You could get the same 350 in the junk yard even cheaper, so what is your point?

351 cleveland is a better engine.

that's not a 5.0

>tfw no twin turbo 2UR TR-6070 swapped A80 Supra for top speed attacks

I like 'em too but I don't know that I'd go THAT far

argh
it's close enough

>>great v8
>>has to be completely rebuilt every 20k miles.

LOL

>FILE DELETED
Ah a man of taste, I love the sounds these babies make when they start up in CAR DELETED.

the literal fuck are you talking about. I require proofs.

>poor people are cheap

I see you've never met a jew before.

I dont know how much modern engines cost to make but tesla should create a car company that sell cars with "powerful" OHV engines at low prices.

Are you saying that cost/benefit is an invalid metric of judging engine design? If so, then what metric are you using?

even better.

Why this combination specifically? What's the benefit?

vastly increased reliability

Reminder that any contender for best engine must have ITBs

The scoop is real, so the only reason i can think of is that that part of the intake that had a flap that sucked air off the hot headers when the engine was cold

The mach 1s did, but the cobras were legit i believe

>In turns of price
oh Jesus

what a better term to judge by?

if you're in the states, there's just not many good modern options.
It's either the camaro or the mustang. Not a fan of dodge.
foreign imports are too fucking expensive (mercedez, bmw) and japanese ones don't even come in a manual option ffs.

Dear Santa...

Make it straight pipe

Mercedes knows how to make V8s

This! I'd be impressed if the Demon did not use a 2.3L supercharger. I can make a faster 4 cylinder FFS that will probably last longer

My man!!

looks like a Ford Modular with how the alternator is in the middle.
