You'd have to explain then why Goro as a Metaverse user expresses interest in finding out the PT's methods were they to make him a target. You have to keep in mind too that he doesn't know Morgana would have said this and both he and Makoto checked Sae's name in the app, if at anything what Morgana said is simply a typical assumption and doesn't account for what happens if a Persona user gets trapped in a situation that distorts them.
