Should I lease a base model MB C-class for $500 a month?

Should I lease a base model MB C-class for $500 a month?

- I take home (after tax) about $38K a year.
- My rent is $1000 a month.
- That leaves about $1600 left in my pocket each month.
- No wife or kids

Currently driving a piece of shit late 90's Ford Escort that's falling apart and I want a major upgrade.

absolutely fucking not you fucking idiot

...

You're going to kill yourself with base model C class.

Consider outright buying a 2012-2015 C350 or E350. In my opinion, much nicer looking, cheaper, V6, and if you opt for the E350 you're getting a lot of car for your bux.

nice bait

First, these starts at $500, the more options you want the higher the price
Secondly, you will need full coverage insurance because the car isn't yours
And finally, you have to take the car to the stealership for even the most basic maintenance.
Not very sensible.

>leasing a merc while you make poorfag tier salary

lmao

Why do you want to lease the shittiest new Merc? Are you getting off on the badge or what other people think of you that much?
Otherwise just buy a used car

OP here. The C-class is not the shittiest Merc. It's a legit RWD built on a real sports sedan platform. You're thinking of the CLA.

Dude this idea is so terrible I can't even put it into words.

You probably wont be able to afford the insurance and other related bills (Ger. manufacturers are notorious for piling bills on bills for servicing), plus given your annual salary I doubt you can be confident about employment for how long you'll be paying it off. Pl) Not to mention it being German means its value will have completely tanked by the time you've paid off. Just don't.

Fuck no. They're not even that nice for what you get. That's a terrible deal. Christ you can get a Q50 for $300. It handles better and has he same Mercedes engine.

Better yet, just get a warrantied used previous gen E-Class at Carmax or something that'd also probably be only like $350.

Do it, your boss will think you're embezzling money from the company.

>shopping for cars based on monthly payment

America, love it or leave it

>making retarded financial decisions is american

He's obviously the dumb type that lives beyond his means so i'm putting it in monthly payment numbers he can wrap his head around.

>American, love and lease it

you should be recommending a used shitbox, not a badgewhore special

...

No. Just no. You won't be able to afford it given insurance, registration, and maintenance and repair. 1600 might seem like enough, but it won't be. Not even close. The other anons are right, it's a terrible decision. No value, base model, shit on gas, arm and a leg services.

If you want luxury (desu, you literally make half of what someone buying luxury should make), you have to go entry level. Think Acura. Even then, something like a TLX tech spec, which is a lot better than that MB for similar cost, might be too much for you. It will be a lot more reliable and cheaper on repairs tho.

Honestly, just get a upper trim accord or Camry V6. They're right in your price range. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. I've read worries about people like you leasing shit they can't afford and working 3 jobs just to pay it off, while their credit gets shit on

>paid off.
it's a lease, so he's just getting fucked on the money factor.

most leases include service now, at least for the lux mfgs

What's the most amount of your annual salary/earnings that you'd be willing to drop on a new-to-you car?

>E350
No dude, don't get bamboozled by the brand name. Insurance and maintenance will eat the rest of your salary. Opt for a nice Golf, Passat, Accord, Mazda 3, and they are all well under the $300 monthly lease with lower insurance and upkeep cost.

If you're gonna lease at least do bmw, since they inflate their residual values. it's easy to find a 3 series for 300-400

No you'll better off/happier getting a non luxury compact sedan with a good amount of options.

>No wife or kids
NC Miata

So you don't eat? You dont pay bills? You dont put money in savings?

There's a reason why DINK's and people with no kids have nice cars and lots of nice toys. Kids are expensive.
