I'd really appreciate if one of you could help me for the final push. Thanks!

install and configure skse, enb, and crash fixes, then upgrade your specs
William Adams
Not even gonna look at your load order.
Properly configured ENB memory settings and properly configured Crash Fixes.

What side of the Dawnguard questline makes more sense from a writing perspective? I know that neither are great, but I've never played it myself so I'm trying to decide which side to go with.
I feel like crossbows were OP. The 50% armor reduction was ridiculous, especially when an arrow would arguably ignore as much or at least a good amount. They also botched it by making crossbows just as effective at long ranges as bows, but that's an "engine limitation." I would have also preferred if reloading could be interrupted, but again, having such a variable weapon state (unloaded), would have been too difficult to implement, apparently. I also wish they had made an even weaker/smaller crossbow that could be used one handed.
Easton Morgan
what is this picture of?
Kevin Howard
They're literally the same. After you pick a side there's two faction specific quests you go through, which are mirror images, and then after that you literally go through the same quests for either side.
Hudson Bell
But user
Real crossbows trumped regular bows in armor penetration and effective range, their sole flaw was reload time
Brayden Jackson
Skyrim. Are you stupid?
Brody Perry
Yeah, I know. But I mean what side makes the most sense? Would it make more sense for a vampire to chill with Serena or a vampire hunter?
Luke Sanders
hmmm

Thanks, Crash Fixes was the only I was missing. I have skse, tes5edit, fnis, dual sheath redux, dyndolod, etc and sometimes I get confused in which order I must run them and I thought that was the issue.
Blake Williams
Crossbows. The world "Bolt" has a better taste, feeling, to it than arrow. Not to mention they were far easier/simpler to use. Which is why they were dished out more than bows, for the sake of faster training. Archery is an art, crossbows are simply destructive.

Nah, they were just easy mode. Medieval bowmen spent their entire lifetimes practicing, and were as a result expensive and high maintenance. Crossbows could be used by Cletus and deliver similar results.
Hudson Lopez
I like both a lot but most RPGs don't pull off the crossbow look very well. If I had my way I would go crossbow because I think it fits the warrior/fighter archetype character better than a bow and that's usually the kind of character i play and like.
Cross bow doesn't take as much training to use and is extremely effective. Doesn't make sense to me that somebody practicing their sword and melee combat skills for their whole life would also be a master of the bow. I also like the idea of being able to easily and quickly snap off a bolt in the middle of some action and get back to the melee instead of having to take out your bow, draw, and fire it continuiously.
Crossbows. I love the whole style and design of them, but only the large crossbows.

should you build bodyslide morphs? what does that mean exactly?

What is the best way to fix mages having infinite resources? I'm using Ordinator, for reference. I'd like something that doesn't interfere with it.

Is there a way to make it so I can only have one summon up, but it's a lot stronger? Does the vancian magic thing do that?

A-Are you guys done talking about molag bal?
Evan Harris
Try looking up actual tests on the results between longbows and crossbows vs plate armor, then come back and post. You're right about it being easier, but they're just plain better in every way except speed.
Point of fact it's way easier to use a crossbow with a 150 lbs draw weight than a bow with a 100 lbs. draw weight.
It becomes simple mathematics at this point.
Josiah Scott
If Bethesda had balls they would have added a questline to Dawnguard that ended with the Dragonborn getting raped by Molag Bal in exchange for vampirism so they could start their own bloodline.
Jason Mitchell
Link is your quintessential Bard, a solid jack of all trades but master of none. He uses sword and shield, spells, bows, and even plays a fruity ocarina that can alter reality as we know it.
He easily trumps anyone else in these areas because he's so versatile, like Ganon (who embodies power) should be able to easily overpower Link but Link has the advantage of not just a Hax triforce of courage but an astonishing variety of gear. He is the very spirit of adventure.
Michael Barnes
If Bethesda had balls they'd have never censored The Real Barenziah books in Morrowind just because it was on the XBox.

Longbow: >Devastated the French knights in the Hundred Years War. Often quoted as a reason for the end of chivalry because of its power for a commoner to bring easily down the mounted nobility. >In 1188 William de Braose, an English knight fighting the Welsh, reported that an arrow had penetrated his chain mail and clothing, passed through his thigh and saddle and finally entered his horse (1). >Range: 320 m (350 yds) with smaller arrowheads (1) >Dates it declined: Childbows: >Range: Earlier crossbows were thought to have a point blank range of 70 yards but were more often angled up 45 degrees to give them a range of 350 yards. Highest effective was 150 yards, but still able to kill at 300(5). >Where popular: Popular in France during the Hundred Years War (and got butt blasted by bowmen). Most heard of were the Genoese mercenary crossbowmen. Crossbows were used by the English from the 12th century onward but lost popularity as the longbow came into favor in the 13th century(6). web.mit.edu/21h.416/www/militarytechnology/longbow.html >mit

I think I have more fun modding, testing, cleaning, and troubleshooting the various mods and ENB's I try out than actually playing the game.
Zachary Jackson
For me, it's otherwise. Installing mods nowadays for me feels like I'm just wasting time in not playing the game.
Samuel Sanchez
I think it's a factor of if you can get your mods just right for your tastes or not. Eventually you learn what you do and don't want to do.
Leo Edwards
>Remember about Bear Trap in Ordinator >Bear Traps are affected by telekinesis >get vancian magic so that I can get infinite telekinesis >put down a Bear Trap >try to kill myself with it >doesn't kill me >use telekinesis on the activated bear trap directly underneath me >I start levitating Turns out that Bear Traps are a way to get around the Levitation Act.

-rim Unbound for not being Dragonborn
I fucked up while posting because I'm a fucking idiot.
Wyatt Moore
Skyrim Unbound >designed for generic roleplay >more control over starting details, more freedom of choice >only allows normal player characters >faction questlines must be started normally >bypasses the beginning of the main quest, activates The Way of the Voice when a dragon is killed and the soul absorbed >player can finish the Civil War questline without encountering dragons or being Dragonborn
Live Another Life >includes character backstories >start choices can have long-lasting or permanent effects on game, factions, allegiances, etc. >allows play as unusual characters such as a bandit, Thalmor, Forsworn, et al. >some characters start with active faction questlines >activates the entire main quest when the player visits Helgen >player must defeat Mirmulnir and become Dragonborn to complete the Civil War
Nathan Cooper
I just like the way it removes the first few quests and has the main quest start with just killing a dragon. Cuts down on my load order too.
LaL definitely has more and better options though. Unbound has enough to satisfy me, but I do miss the Shipwrecked start. Lots of people love using that starting area to set up mods too.
No, the 1000 black souls was just to have the opportunity to get raped. So the questline would go something like complete Molag's normal quest, the quests of his allies may be completed but none of his enemies quests can be, then you get one or more quests to prove your allegiance, after which you can strike a deal. Then you have to come up with 1000 black souls. Then you offer one or more female sacrifices on his summoning day. THEN you get to undergo the vampirism ceremony (rape to death). After that you have your own pure-blooded vampirism that comes with a beast form, some dragon-related vampiric abilities, standard vampiric abilities, and a dice roll for a one or more unique abilities. Then you establish a blood line and have followers.
Gavin Miller
I really want to be able to wipe out the Volkihar Clan and Dawnguard if this is ever going to be a thing (probably never).
