The sensor has a short range (meaning it needs very good map knowledge to use effectively), and his guns are unimpressive, so newer players tend to disregard him. I didn't really touch him in any serious games before RC, and I've been here since beta.
That texture things is a bug on AMD cards that Ubisoft have fixed like 3 times now but it keeps coming back for whatever reason.
