How unreliable are these? 550i or 545i.
They're the cheapest V8 I've seen that isn't a 90s Mustang/Camaro or a rusted out Dodge pickup.

one word: valvetronic
Looks too much like a grandpa mobile and its too big.
Bump
>cheapest
there's a reason, you know
545i is not, had various issues
550i is decently
they're both awful to work on
very unreliable lol
>too big
get stuffed. 545i/550i weigh more than GS400/430, on top of being practically the same size.
GS: 195x71x56
E60: 191x73x59
post your local craigslist.
Elaborate
They're pretty bad...and on top of shit breaking constantly, real BMW parts are expensive and they're a bitch to work on.
Also not that fast despite being a V8.
I own a BMW (e46) but it's a 3rd car for me, put 500 miles on it in a year. Seems to be the best way to own a BMW outside of warranty.
>grandpa mobile
That's a good point, cops won't pay much attention to your car
The diesels and NA inline sixes were fine.
bump
get a 530 or 535D, a 530D with just a remap can push 300hp, and a 535D with a few mods can go well over 400hp
>Diesel
Lol no. I'm obviously looking for a V8.
get a e39 540i
>diesel lol no
>a 3.0L TT diesel (535D) with just a remap will outperform the V8 option by a large margin, along with being infinitely more reliable
alright jerome
>cheapest V8
Because you pay half when you get it and half later.
Diesels are hard to find here and they sound like shit compared to a V8.
E39 540i
E39s are as unreliable as E60s and they're older, so even more unreliable.
are you retarded?
Elaborate then. Both the E60 and the E39 have bad rep, specially the V8s
all e39 engine options are solid all around (including the s62 (m5)) with varying levels of wrenching difficulty and the price of parts
