>autotragic
OP said "inb4" therefore you're not allowed to mention it.

Why buy one of these when you could buy a G8 GXP instead? They even come with a manual and are fun to drive

>Why but a relatively new, stylish luxury car made by the most reliable manufacturer in the industry when you could buy a ugly 10 year old shitbox made by a sheepfuckers and sold under a brand so trash that it doesn't exist anymore
ah yes great question

In Australia you can get a used one for around 37-42k AUD. Not that much money considering a Commodore SV6 (V6 Chevy SS) starts at 40K new

Lexus cars are boring and handle amazingly bad. It's a comfy daily driver, not even close to a sportscar

I had a 2012 ISF... I got rid of it about a year and a half ago
They are numb as fuck, the 8 speed is whack
If you own a 2008-10, God help you its such a piece of shit
I actually enjoy my E36 M3 significantly more but if you really must have something in that category the C63 is the best option over the ISF and E90/92 M3 imo
tldr; $40k mistake

>$40k mistake
just like your upbringing

newfag with a shitbox plz go

Should I be worried about BMW and Mercedes reliability? I've only ever owned Australian and Japanese built cars and don't know anything about German cars

I have put 200K+ miles on each of my 2 Mercedeses and the newest one is a 1994. What does that tell you, user?

BMWs are shit reliability though. That's why you see so many kids and swag-faggots riding them since they wear down so fast nobody keeps them for the ages like you see people with a Benz or a Volvo do

Catastrophic failure will be expensive in any case when you get to that caliber of car
Maintenance is like anything else of the sort really, nothing too crazy
Do the latter so you have less chance of the former
You can typically find these sorts cars babied by rich fellas

>Auto
>Expensive
>Heavy

You didn't say what kind of repairs/maintenance you've had to do though

Catastrophic failure is what I'm worried about, I don't wanna own a Mercedes for a few months and then suddenly have a massive repair bill

OP can't inb4 you faggot

It'll happen on a Lexus just like it will a Mercedes
I spent more on the ISF in repairs than my E55 AMG, despite the ISF being 8 years newer with less than half the mileage
Get the best example of whatever car you like the most
Don't play yourself if you're spending this much money on a car
Whats the difference of a couple thousand bucks over the course of a few years on a car that cost you $35-40k?
Also don't go to dealerships find local specialists if you aren't mechanically inclined yourself

>newfag

lurk more stancefag

The reason they cost so much when new is that they are made to a far better standard than say some Ford or Hyundai. The people that buy these originally also know how much more they paid for them over a lesser car and as such maintain them meticulously. To warrant the higher price these cars are also made to last with an heirloom like build quality.

As for my 2 Mercedes I haven't had to do anything major to them, just the obvious stuff like oil changes and new spark plugs and tires when they needed it.

wow he started in 2017 hes totally NOT a newfag
I'm totally impressed you fucking faggot

Thanks for the advice user, do you recommend getting a newer turbocharged one or sticking to the older NA ones?

One of the older NA ones. Unstressed blocks have the longer lifespans by far. Don't fall for the turbo meme from any brand of car, user. Automakers don't add turbos to motors to make their cars a better deal for you, no they add turbos to make the car a better deal for themselves, its just a gimmick to wring out more HP without making a stronger motor that'd not need a turbo

This does it better and comes in manual.

Does anyone have this tripfags picture saved that made the rounds on here? It explains everything.
