Is that image AGDG but really distorted?

First for enginedev.

>fringe glitch that crashes the game, that happens at random
>try to patch it
>don't know if its actually fixed or you're getting good luck

Down with chatrooms
Down with enginedev

Grandma is in and with this the visuals for the victory screen are complete. Now I have to code in the calculations for time and grade (which are pointless currently but hey, it's something).

can you lick grandma's face?

what a great little revolutionist you are

Yes, you just have to input the konami code 5 times in a row before the level clear screen loads.

I've done my part to change agdg for the better. :^)

Didn't post progress in a while and I can't remember all the changes I did since then, but I've did quite a few things and have learned even more.

Post grandma lewds.

Rought item pickup UI design done.
4x4px checker board texture as transparency was a mistake

That dash looks pretty sweet!

why would someone ever click "no"? why is that even an option?

Get in loser, we're going on an adventure.

A brief outline of the founders of chatrooms in agdg.

IRC1
Founded by loli rape sim dev who was banned from Veeky Forums for posting CP.

IRC2
Founded by gogem. Enough said.

Steamchat
Founded by Vine, whose game is on the homph teamlist. It is an abandoned Early Access game.

Of the 3, Steamchat was clearly the better option, but they put shitposters into moderation status. This is the seed group of agdg in Discord.

That seriously looks good. Good progress.

In Resident Evil, which is the game this is obviously based on, you had very limited inventory space.

Maybe some items are poisonous if you touch them, so you have to equip something before picking it up?

Would be a interesting feature I guess.

The boss now forms its arms after it reaches a specific HP threshold. Still have to give it a couple more attacks before I start testing the fight as a whole and make adjustments.

>Do you want to pick up the Keycard?
>Select "Yes"
>You have been poisoned and are now dead, restart from last savepoint?

Yea man, that sounds fun as hell

it took me like 15 attempts to get this picture because the game kept crashing

Ah, reminds me of Alone in the Dark.

Game's shaping up good. Looking forward to where you'll take it.

First for no game

Well maybe not a keycard, but what if you find some soft of weird relic or something and it's dangerous to handle it without some repellent?

I know that it might lead to cheap deaths, but maybe with some tweaking it would work.

checks out
t. longtime lurker tried each chat but too shy

Not enough inventory space?
Side note,
as a kid playing Resident Evil 2, I once played trough the game without destroying the keys when they had served their purpose and kept them in the item box in hopes that it would unlock something.
I have a gut feeling that there is someone else out there that did the same in some of those games.. I want to somehow reward that kind of behavior in my game.

how do you get on wolfma root?

YES ! YES, NASTY user, I WANT TO TAKE THAT KEYCARD ! JUST GIVE IT TO ME, ALREADY !

You forgot IRC3 or Discord2 which were rotatedev (because he was banned from everything else)

>You have been poisoned and are now dead, restart from last savepoint?
>Select "Yes"
>You have been poisoned and are now dead, quit game?

And "AGDG2" kek. For someone who never finished a single game rotate was very keen on making sequels of agdg things.

Why are all the games nowdays so grim and dark?

Thank you, but it's really not as good as it may look.

This could actually be fun.
In the game you collect cake slices before going to Grandma's house. I could make it so if you get to Grandma with no cakes, Grandma turns to be a wolf in disguise and you still get a game over.

Why are all the games nowdays so cute and colorful?

because bokudev took the kickstarter money and ran

It's impressive that someone was able to grab money on their very first game. Did he even do any gamejams or something before?

Thanks user.

nah, his kickstarter video was just very good
with a very well made video you could promote any shitgame on kickstarter and make a bit money

Please start referring to dead devs as "the dev formally known as " _____.
Thank you. It's very confusing when RIPdevs are talked about as if they are still yesdev.

is the dev formally known as pugdev fully given up on that lemmingslike?

according to the dev formally known as MothDan the dev formally known as rotate still posts here so he's not going to change

>he's freaking out about danny phantom again
Who cares? What dev were you formally known as?
:^) Oh I see where your salt comes from now. Neverdev going to neverdev.

>tfw everyone and their brother tells you not to make multiplayer games because they have such a slim chance at succeeding and sustaining
>tfw only want to make multiplayer games

Because I haven't started making mine yet

>REEE DANNY I DON'T EVEN POST HERE ANYMORE FOR THE THOUSANDTH TIME
t. potate

>im not rotatedev
t. seasonsdev

remember not to stall too long to release or use cheap assets or clones will come out first

store.steampowered.com/app/687750/Yandere_School/
>all those shitposters meming about stealing ideas here
>an indie dev who got bullied by /v/ actually got his idea stolen by ukrainians
What's the moral of this story, /agdg/?

>tfw im going to make two multiplayer games right off the bat

It already looks more like an actual game than the 30 Minute Video About Other Game Simulator.

dont worry, after messing around with networking you'll change your mind

Thanks! Saved to my motivation folder

jesus fuck

I'm feeling 100%. Are you feeling 100%? Let's dev AGDG.

the fate of all asset store "games"
if you can cobble together something using prebought assets, anyone can, and faster

Oh cool, I can already see how it'll look with proper sprites, very nice.

It's a distorted photo of a cock

yandere-simulator.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:CrystaltheCool/The_Packs_From_The_Unity_Asset_Store_That_Are_Used_In_Yandere_Simulator

>pomf
The world is a brighter place with you in it, user
You are a blessing

nigga needs to get some real artists who can do persona 5 quality stuff

t. lost to a unity asset store game
hahahaha

All he has are mediocre orbiters that do it for free, what the fuck is he doing with the money?

Are they actually the same assets? Yandere School looks cheaper and the textures are definitely worse.

nothing, all he does is stream on twitch all day
he won't explicitly state he's given up because then hed lose his patreon nest egg

It's another forced "meme"

This.

That's only true on mobile. On Steam cute and colorful are a minority.

>pomf

He took on with TinyBuild and deadlines are going to happen. He's fucked in a way he doesn't get and neither do most of his followers or haters. It's coming though he's just in denial and procrastinating the last straws away.

RoR2 soon

>

Nah. Crib the wolf model
Disguised wolves won't seem out of place

He has a studio working refactoring his spaghetti code for him, but he said he was going to continue development while they did that.
Does he at least stream development?

No, he is a conman idea guy. Not a dev.

Where are your drifts ?

Because I haven't started making mine yet

Nononononononono, that's not true !
I want to play his finished game.

Trying to enginedev for the first time, here's what I've got so far. It's a sprite renderer that takes a texture, a position and a size and draws the sprite.

2k lines btw.

Jesus Christ. If you are even 10% serious you have my condolences.

or just make porn, normies won't replicate porn

I don't know what is going on here, but it looks cool.

>dumb animeposter pumped money monthly into a conman
surprising absolutely no-one

>animeposters in charge of not falling for obvious scams

he's been making 5k per month (not including youtube money) for how many years now? how can he not contract a few 3D artist to make some unique anime models for him?

this guy has no intention of ever finishing that game, probably saving up to retire

>I want to play his finished game.
I used to feel the same way until I realized that even his original pitch, before all the feature creep, had a bunch of unnecessary VN/RPG/sandbox elements tacked on to what should've just been anime Hitman.

Does this convey "wind and sandstorm" to you?

Super juicy

Post your Godot game

>(not including youtube money)
>"pfft, no way it makes a difference"
sweet jesus this is ridiculous even at its lowest point.

Looks more like a rock storm than a sand storm.
Smaller grains, more of them. You can just use a texture instead of particles.

I'm trying to get these two perfectly symmetrical pieces of shit to overlap on my uv unwrap (I already flipped it along the x axis to get them to line up roughly equally)

is there an easy way to get this working? I thought I could just alt-m merge the verts together or something but I can't even do that and it would have been shitty anyways for more complex geometry

tips? using blender, btw.

>youtube.com/watch?v=LDh2h1YRbhc
>lays out all the events, how they occur and what happens

I get that you have to justify the time spent but spoiling your whole game also seems like an awful idea.

I've been lurking /agdg/ for a few months now and I finally have some presentable stuff to show you guys. It was really fun following everybodies progress, so I want to join as well.

I've been programming a grimdark JRPG for some time now, and here is the somewhat lengthy hook: "You play as a pig farmer that wishes to peacefully run his business. One day, in a sick and twisted turn of events you are forcefully married to a ghost. The marriage officiant is not pleased with this turn of events since a marriage between a human and the undead is strictly prohibited. To solve this problem, he wants to hunt the both of you down and erase the contract. This doesn't seem like a problem, however the marriage officiant is an 40 foot demented abomination from another world, and 'erase the contract' is equivalent to 'disemboweling the newly weds'. Together you need to set aside your differences and travel the land in search for a divorce... before he catches up to you and does it himself."

Now here's some details regarding the current state of the game:
>A portion of the game mechanics are roughly done
>About 20% of the art content is done
>Working on composing some battle music and sound effects

I'm looking forwards on posting more stuff soon and spending time with you guys, as much as my free time allows, but I'm pretty headstrong on finishing this project, so you can count on more progress updates in the future.

where's the game then

I'd probably marry a ghost if she looked like that honestly.

Watch out for nodevs

Thanks anons.

Probably more tiny blocks instead of large ones.

Show it to us.
And please tell me it's not in RPGMaker.

If they are actually symmetrical on the model (i.e. you used a mirror modifier) you fucked up the unwrap. Maybe you use unwrap from view and had it at a weird angle. Anyway you can just use snap to vertex and manually align them, but that will cause texture stretching, so best would be to fix the unwrap.

Sounds promising, I like the concept.
What's the gameplay like?

The plot seems more goofy than grimdark, other than the alien abomination.

The 'ghost' looks like a demonic goblin with an oversized head.

>horns
>blade ears
>black sclera and red pupils
>short

Can anyone tell me why my doors arent working?
Using gml
>Door creation event
door_id = 0;
door_destination = 0;
>Collision event in Door with player
if keyboard_check_pressed(vk_down)
{
with(obj_door)
{
if door_id == other.door_destination
{
Char1.x = x;
Char1.y = y;
}
}
}
>creation code inside left door in room
door_id = 2;
door_destination = 1;
>creation code inside right door in room
door_id = 1;
door_destination = 2;

For some reason I get what happens in this webm

In case the webm wasn't clear, the left door teleports me to the right door, but the right door teleports me to itself

>you rang, user ?
