Do people like German Cars???!!!

German cars are absolute fucking garbage.

I can't believe how shitty the plastic/rubber on german cars is.

Nothing fucking lasts on these cars?

How many electronic gremlins can you build into a car?
I couldn't engineer this many unsolvable electronic problems in a car if I tried.

It took Korea 1-2 decades to go from least reliable garbage, to top level reliability.

How the fuck does BMW / Mercedes still make absolutely unreliable fucking garbage... And then charge DOUBLE what the chinks do... And then PEOPLE STILL BUY THEM?!!!

German Cars are fucking trash!

Bruh bmw/merc is only before japshit on reliability charts

>he posts pre production test cars as ''''proof''''
How desperate are you?

(((Reliability Sharts))) only test the cars during the 1-2 year buy/lease period when everything is covered anyway

Compare a 7 year old Korean/jap shitbox to any comparable german car. Even American cars drive donuts around German Luxury Automobiles.

The real criminals are the fucking retards that buy this fucking German Shiza (sp)

As someone who worked on cars for 16 years, I agree with you OP. European vehicles are the Apple products of the car world.

>t.commodore 64 driver

Hey!
Help me over here!

I do agree that many Germans are overpriced, that they have pulled a lot of shit, but Every non-german Car I have driven so far (besides Fiat) felt wrong.
Horrible engine, horrible transmission, fucked up gas mileage, unusable radio/multimedia/heater settings (though, looking at the new and "improved" A-class, Mercedes now also has a

it doesnt matter because badge whores only lease cars for 1-2 years, so they dont experience the low life-span of german cars

That must be what it is.
Good insight.
Leasing jap or american cars is much cheaper, but it's not a status symbol.

That thread has already been answered. Pay someone triple the normal cost for basic diag or trade it for something else.

Umm how about you compare a 7 year old German car to a 7 year old American/Korean/Jap garbage?
The German car will still feel luxurious and drive well while a Jap/US car will feel like a horribly dated shitbox.
Have you ever sat in a German car?

No Mr Kia/Hyundai bait faggot, that's why you see Euro cars everywhere on earth even in an African ghetto jungle you find at least 10 Euro cars because they don't like them.
They are so bad that almost everybody has someone in their family driving a Euro car.

Hang yourself shit neck gook

SAGE IN ALL FEELDS FOR BAIT!

Found the iPhone owner

>Not driving a dated shitbox in the first place

The only thing luxury cars have for them is comfy seats. And even then a crown vic can beat some of them in that department.

found the butthurt poorfag.

>Poorfag calling others poorfags

only poorfags shill for cheap garbage cars

And? You're still a poorfag.

I don't understand the German engineering meme

VWs are boring and unreliable, and everything else the krauts make is expensive and unreliable

speak for yourself

>Muh luxury car!
>Can't even check his own oil

checking oil levels and wrenching your own car is a luxury? LMAO get a load of this poorfag

Okay there, kiddo.

It is for me. I like having self reliance.

stick to your shitboxes then
fastest and most luxurious cars come with no dipsticks

90s German cars were the best
00s was a turning point
These days they're eh

Keep telling yourself that, kid.

but i'm not the one trying to justify cheap shitboxes here

>Buying fast cars from the lot
Where's the fun in that?

But you are trying to justify overpriced, unreliable, plastic cars.

>overpriced
You get what you pay for
Shitbox owners will always try to use their ''but muh value for money'' ''but look wat u get!''

>You get what you pay for
Loose plastic?

But loose plastic is a asian thing.

Uhuh, so i guess all the late 90's early 2000's audi a8's i see still around and looking decent up here are just my imagination huh?

I don't quite get it.
Are poorfags just trolling here or do they unironically think that korean or american cars are good?
Be honest: have you ever sat in a relatively expensive car?

That looks pretty comfy. Like those seats.

>VAG
Their engines are shit:
>plastic intake manifold on turbocharged engine
>waterpump needs to get changes with serpentine belt
>specific output is a joke (100hp/L turbocharged)
>requires special oil
>intake valve prone to carbon deposits
But the interior is comfy, feels great and looks awesome.

>Mercedes
Their engines are usually preety good and their interieur is awesome.
Maintainance is quite expensive, but that is expected in their price range.

>BMW
Never had to deal with BMWs...

>Opel
Well, it is GM, but at least they are not as bad as they used to be...

>E.Go
shit performance (0-100 in 35 seconds)
shit interieur
shit panel gaps
shit range
shit rear suspension
solid rear axle swinging at two hinges, 100% dependent
Only good thing: RWD, 50:50 weigt distribution

bmw and benz have the same issues and costs generally

Mercedes cars were good from 2004-2007, and that's about it.

They where good before that as well.

2004-2007 mercedes is pretty shit
merc was great in the 80’s and okay until around 2005

post your ride

>plastic/rubber

So true. Had E46 BMW, everything you touched that was made of plastic/rubber would disintegrate.

Fuck that shit, had 10 years older EG Civic and plastic was still fine on it.

best German brand is Volkswagen. Best Sudeten German brand is Skoda.
If you want a reliable euro car you get a Skoda, simply nothing comes close.

Depends on where you live my dude.
Here in Southern Europe (exYU) most of the cars are german.
>french and italian cars are too unpredictable,or generally have a bad reputation
>japanese cars aren't popular because of expensive parts
>korean cars still have a bad rep,but I see of them as years go on

Mind you, average age of these shitboxes around here is 10-11 years

It's schieße

A Skoda is just a badge engineered VW with a lower price..

>A Skoda is just a badge engineered VW with a lower price..

the bmw one isnt even bad

It's bad considering it's supposed to be a luxury car. A chevy Cruze doesn't make those sounds. Even if it were solid that shiny plastic still looks horrifically cheap.

read this.

You're a fucking retard. Bmw interior and mechanical / electrical parts are "nice" for 2 years. Jap rubber / plastic lasts 10 years easy.

This is because they constantly need repairs and the labor costs only make sense in shithole countries.

You sir are a fucking genius. I crown you King in the Thread!

The King in the Thread!

At least meme Wrist Fedoras like Rolex or Omega are built well, last a long time, and retain lots of their value. German cars are trash.

Keep pretending that you cut your commute time in half with an overpriced and impractical status symbol.

Mr. Sonic the Hedgefund manager

"Gotta go fast like like Sanic! I'm not a pleb! Look at what I drive! Gibs pussy pls!"

Late 90s civic is still running stronk with minimal maintenance.

Shitpost more pls.

Volkswagen/eurotrash = unreliable and expensive American grade shitbox

Merc /audi /bimmer =

The latest fad, social status badge. Meant to last 5 years MAX! Everything beyond that is luck or Supreme maintenance.

Literally the UGG Boots of the auto industry.

Jap/Gook =

Kings of automobile construction, engineering, reliability, and cost/value.

American = "At least we're trying to be as good as the chinks! Our trucks are OK, and we have the Escalade/Navigator!"

Is there any Skoda that is not sold as a VW?

neither does a BMW
go to a dealership and sit in one retard

>Merc /audi /bimmer
>The latest fad
It has always been a ''fad'' since the beginning of auto industry
Either it's a fad or you're a master baiter
Hmmm

I have. They're shit. There's no way I'd ever drop $100k on one.

No you haven't.

Dear Mr. Sheisse {Einstein},

The latest model is the fad.

There's a reason their value drops like a brick.

And I mean an actual brick, not the slow-to-push-out bricks you take in the mouth.

Except the fastest depreciating cars are American and Italian cars.
Pulling ''statistics'' out of your ass just to prove your point, adorable.

When does:

"their value drops like a brick"

mean

"Statistically they depreciate faster than American cars"

Seriously though, Veeky Forums is low iq as fuck.

You're forgiven for being a retard. It's mostly genetic. Good luck shitposting in other threads.

It means American cars are the worst at depreciating so your “german car depreciation” meme doesn’t work here

It all comes down to being CONSISTENT with components and allowing that thing to become better over time naturally. Look in any Toyota or Honda, they use the temp knobs from like the 80s because they work! The issue with every single domestic (U.S.) manufacture is that they CONSTANTLY keep switching their shit up and is the reason why their build quality is total shit! It takes time for things to evolve to a more "refined" state and the only way you can evolve the same thing is to use the same thing.

this man clearly has never heard of the 300td

what the fuck are you on about

yourmechanic.com/article/the-most-and-least-expensive-cars-to-maintain-by-maddy-martin

this, HVAC units are one of those things that work fine with minimal electronics yet the American manufactures LOVE to make the HVAC control units fully electronic modules even on the cheapest shitboxes, so instead of twisting the knob and directly actuating the paddles in the plenum or activating the fan with a switch, the HVAC dashboard module has to talk to the BCM which talks to the HVAC control unit which opens the paddles and turns on the fan about 5 minutes after it was requested.

Meanwhile all the Japanese manufacturers are still using cable actuators and vacuum blocks and they work forever.

This.

People talk shit about the Tundra using an """OLD""" engine, but the 5.7L is a proven beast that will last a very long time.

Ford is the memequeen and needs to introduce some new faggot powertrain every 5 years, so they shill their ecotoot trash that'll fucking explode with any real use.

>there are actually retards on this board who trusted Ford enough to """build""" their engines to withstand constant boost and high temps

it's the fucking seizing sparkplug shit all over again, ecotoots are already failing across america

My VW golf (US spec 5cyl 5speed manual 2010) has been mechanically fairly reliable from 50k to 110k (the milage I've owned it for) but the interior has required upkeep, despite being very comfortable and ergonomic (best seats ever) I agree the plastic sucks. I'm poorfag student and my last cars were a Camry (03 V6) and Corolla (2010) both of those were much more Spartan and bland interior and power wise. The golf even for a base model has decent power and is much more engaging to drive. Seems like a decent trade off

>tfw 12 year old e90
>tfw 200k miles
>tfw still fine.
Ok.
