Using an actual heroic spirit in the process is unnecessary, as demonstrated in F/SN by assassin. Using an actual catalyst in the process is unnecessary, as demonstrated in F/Z by caster. When Flat summons a nonexistent jack the ripper with a garbage catalyst, nothing is happening that hasn't happened in the series before. Those things are just coincidentally happening at the same time.
